Mr. Pretzels — Local services in Calgary

Ugh,,,the worst customer service I’ve had in a long time. Today, lunch hour, not too busy. Waited behind one person in line ahead of me. When it was my turn I waited and waited. There were 3 employees,,,one rolling out pretzels, another baking and prepping, and the third one taking customer orders. When the person in front of me finished ordering the employee taking order took out a cell phone, sent a text, then maybe read something, continued texting and reading,,, all while I was standing right in front of her ready to order. The guy rolling out pretzels looked over at her, then at me, then back to the pretzel rolling. No one said ‘just a moment, be right with you’,,,,nothing. After close to a minute of this, I threw up my hands and walked away. I work in customer service myself and I know the standard and this wasn’t even close. It’s too bad because the pretzels are delicious but I might not go back anytime soon, or ever. Boss,,,,I hope you see this and train your staff more thoroughly in customer service, or fire those who just don’t care about providing...

Food Safety Concerns: watched for one hour from the second floor. Friday Jan 10, 2025: 5 pm to 6 pm. Lady working their with bare hands no gloves cleans her nose, go to the till collect money in cash and coins, same hand clean nose put fingers in the nose and start serving the food to customers without cleaning hands. 3 employess working nobody wearing gloves. no hand washing occurs. One lady go to her break come back with hand wash start working. Only one sink where they were washing equipments and hand wash on top of them. I have never written a google review before but I felt the need to write one after having the nicest encounter with one of the staff here just earlier today. The customer service here is excellent; the boy who was sampling pretsels at around 3pm today just oozed positivity and a great sense of humour. He helped me pick out the best option of pretsel I could go for as I have never tried these pretsels and he was very helpful. It's rare these days to encounter great customer service and those who care enough to have small exchanges with customers. Great job Mr. Pretsel.! That funny guy definitely made...
