OPA! of Greece Brentwood Village — Restaurant in Calgary

As I sat here for lunch today we had ordered something quite simple. It took a lot of time and we were the only people inside. The staff are very ignorant as they sit in the back either watching something or texting on cellphones. The moment they are done with anyone that came they went straight to the back talking extremely loud in their own language it was hard enough to enjoy sitting down with my partner to have our own conversation. To get their attention from the back was even harder as they can't hear you over their talking and texting. For was sub par and could have used more are to detail. I even had to say thank you 3 times before the staff lifted their heads from cellphones to say "ya ok" and then right back into the cellphone. Horrible customer service.

The management should probably get the staff to refrain from sitting in the back yapping the whole time and attend to actual work related/customers. I would avoid this place and go to the mall...

I wish I could give zero stars. I visited Opa Souvlaki on Monday, March 10, around 3:00 PM, and it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The calamari was completely inedible—so chewy I couldn’t even get through one bite, and the breading was terrible.

We also ordered a chicken and beef wrap, and both were absolutely disgusting. The meat was dry, flavorless, and just slapped together with no care. Our skewers were overcooked, making them tough and unpleasant to eat. For $52, I expected a decent meal, but this was beyond disappointing.

To make matters worse, the customer service was non-existent. The employees were sitting at tables eating their own food while customers were ignored. I’ve tried calling to speak to a manager about this, but no one ever answers.

I will never be back, and honestly, I’d like my money refunded. If you’re considering eating here—don’t waste your...

I'm so disappointed with the service, I went in around 9 pm the lady was not at all pleased that I had walked in... i asked what time they closed ( I’ve worked retail so I know how annoying it can be for those last min customers). She replied 10pm. I placed my order for two, I ordered the fries and the chicken slouvaki platter, she literally threw the chicken onto the grill made the fries when I arrived home I noticed the fries wasn’t at all a full order it was barely a half order the chicken was ice cold same as the wrap there was no taziki sauce. It’s just so disappointing after a long day coming home to half asses food...
