We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Jerusalem Shawarma, and I must say—it was nothing short of phenomenal! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with a warm smile and welcoming energy that immediately set the tone for an incredible experience.

What truly made our visit unforgettable was the outstanding and excellent service provided by Saeed. He went above and beyond in every possible way. Saeed didn’t just serve food—he served kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality. From preparing hot and fresh chicken shawarma platter to checking in regularly with surprise mint mocktails to ensure everything was perfect, his service was world-class. You could tell he truly cared about every guest’s experience. He was patient, personable, and brought an amazing positivity to the whole dining environment. Saeed truly embodies what exceptional customer service should look like. He made us feel like very special throughout the meal!

The  "mint lemon juice" deserves a special mention—what a refreshing and delightful surprise! It was the perfect balance of zesty lemon and cool mint, served chilled and full of flavor. It’s the kind of drink that instantly lifts your mood and complements the food perfectly. A must-try for anyone visiting!

But what truly sets Jerusalem Shawarma apart is that it’s not just one person—it’s the whole team. Jeta, Abdullah, Abada, Mauey, and Zoohair were all incredibly welcoming and kind. You can tell that this place runs on teamwork, heart, and a shared passion for great service. Everyone wore genuine smiles and offered warm greetings that made the atmosphere feel like five-star. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, they make you feel like family.

The food, of course, was as delicious as ever—flavorful, fresh, and served with care—but the experience today was elevated so much more because of Saeed’s extraordinary service and the incredible team supporting him.

This is a phenomenal location with really friendly faces and generous service. Every time I go there, even though it’s busy, I’m greeted with warmth and care by the staff there. I always feel I’m getting very well taken care of and my order generally is prepared to include a variety of ‘little extra’ items I didn’t even have to pay for. Even without that though, the food is always tasty and savoury. Especially as a vegan, I love going to places where even food that is prepared fast can meet my dietary needs. This place never disappoints with that’s because they have a number of dishes that are by default vegan-friendly.

I’d like to give a special shout out to Arietta, who was the first person I got to know there and always remembered me and even took the time to have a very warm conversation with me and get to know me a little bit. It certainly made me feel appreciated and one of the main reasons I was happy to come back. Also, Jian has been very generous with me as well and greeted me with a very warm smile while treating me to multiple free samples. Zouhair there is another fantastic staff member. He always has a big smile on his face and takes the time to thoroughly load up my order so that I’m satisfied. He even gives me some food to nibble on while I wait, and free dessert, because I’ve had to wait for a few extra minutes to get my order prepared fresh in the past. He made the experience much more enjoyable. Finally Abdallah Háboub is truly one of a kind. He’s fast, efficient, and always joking around to make the wait for my food that much more enjoyable and relaxed. He loads up my order, gives me extra food (no cost). He’s also a great marketer for the place and gets people really engaged. I told him his boss should give him a raise for all the extra work he does.

The one comment I'd make on the atmosphere is that this place is super busy (all the time). You get your order very quickly all the same, and the service is stellar, but sometimes understandably the used trays, dishes and place settings pile up by...

The good. Honestly their meat is very well done compared to most restaurants I've tried in Ontario and Alberta. At the same time, I'm not a restaurant explorer either so I have only tried out a few dozen restaurants in my lifetime in Canada. Once one of the employees noticed I was a bit disappointed/frustrated with the service a bit, they started checking up on us alot to help make the experience better; which shows that the family that owns this is genuinely trying (not necessarily other employees). The last 2 times that we came to this restaurant they were coming around about every half an hour to pass out free drinks like juice mixtures and teas which come in small amounts but are an appreciated gesture.

The bad. It often takes time for them to prepare the food. This review came on Eid but I found even on non-Eid days they tend to take some time. That is primarily because they get many orders and quite busy, which is a sign of good work! Everytime I've come here, I generally have to ask multiple times for them to turn off, or lower the music to a non-noticeable level, which is quite frustrating. They don't have partitions which is something rare to find in Canada anyway but I hope they try to setup some in the future. The mapping between the numbers on the menu and the actual items seem to be confusing to their own employees. Hopefully they can sort out a way to make communicating with them easier.
