We have visited joeys seafood at other locations in the past and enjoyed our experience and food. However last night we visited joeys seafood on Macleod tr and took my parents who are visiting from the east. We had no idea there was an all you can eat menu on Tuesdays. Most of us ordered regular meals but my mom is a great cook herself and enjoys good food and eats very healthy most of the time. She loves fish and chips and eats it only a couple times a year since it’s not the best food for her health. last night she chose to try the all you can eat and try the two different types of fish offered on that menu. It does cost more for the all you can eat (we paid the extra $5). She initially ordered the cod which was very tiny pieces and mostly batter. And due to her health issues she decided she would try the haddock instead and not eat the cod. The waitress told us that she had to finish her cod before she could order any more fish on the all you can eat price she paid. We were not aware of this in advance of placing the order. My mom forced herself to finish the cod (removed all the batter on top so it wasn’t too bad to eat just the tiny morsels of fish inside since there was so much batter). Then ordered the haddock. This was an experience we will never forget and have never experienced before. We were seated right in front of the order counter. First I noticed the waitress telling the manager something and they looked at my elderly mom’s plate and laughed. Then the female and male chef behind the order counter stood at the counter and literally started at my mom and her food for several minutes making it very uncomfortable for my mom to eat her food. She could not and did not want to eat there but was told by the waitress that she would have to pay for any fish wasted and could not take it home. Since it was off the “all you can eat” menu even though we paid extra for that. My mom does not waste food and forced herself to eat the meal. She was feeling quite ill afterwards and I decided to call the manager to let him know that what they did to “paying” customers was unacceptable. His response was that the staff were new and that he was sorry and would speak to the staff. Most places train new staff to provide good customer service and to never make their guests/customers feel uncomfortable. Customers to a restaurant and pay to enjoy a good meal and get food service and this was the exact opposite. We paid for “discomfort and did not enjoy our experience at all. We will never go into that joeys location ever again. How they treated us was unacceptable and we left paying a bill of over $150 for the 6 of us. We didn’t go there to eat for free but were treated very badly. The manager would not tell me when the owner would be in so I could speak directly to him/her. That was also very frustrating and led me to write...

What ridiculous waste of time. Tried to order on line.Do not go to their website. It just wants you to fill out more computer cŕap. If/when you get to their page, you have to open an account give personal information and a credit card ....then you click to get into your basket....the thing just goes round and round saying confirming your order....silly me went through the entire process with a different card ( both with far more than the $33 on them). Never did confirm. phoned them Directly.Nice lady but not the jokers that thinking it's cutting edge marketing to have to apply for a delivery.Anyhow she said I could order over the phone. The simple old fashion way. Phone, order, deliver, eat. Got to call Skip the Nit wits or Door dummies....and go through all the applications and "security" BS....and give them the right to give ALL your information to third parties....just to get an order of Fish and Chips.....Oh yeah....cute to note when you open an account and order....they kindly add 15% tip charge....ahahah...I wonder if any of the serving staff ever get to see any of it....Been going to Joey's for decades.....now it just makes me loose my appetite....people may say "big deal they are all the same"....No, No...they are not all doing it.....and Yes.I do try to never use businesses that use computers to get you to push buttons to irrelevant time wasting BS, and restaurants that require me to fill out forms or limit my chooses and no one to answer questions ...just pay ,we will send you what we have...

I would have loved to have given these guys 5 stars. Based on my first order last night alone. However tonight that was not the case at all! My first order was lob & shrimp mac and cheese; North Atlantic Haddock and chips with two sides: mashed potatoes &veggies. It was great! Got two big peices of fish..fries..Veggies and pototoes exactly what we ordered! Last night order was so good, we wanted it again. So disappointed tonight, neither one of us recieved our order of fries with our meals! And there was only one peice of fish on our orders. If that is what the order consists of then there should not have been 2 included in last nights order. Obviously you do NOT check the bags or the orders employees write down. I have pictures of the same orders wrote down differently. This is called consistency and food presentation. When I called the restaurant I had someone continuously repeat but that's not what you ordered. Well it's what I ordered last night and it's what I recieved. Your employees write it down completely different. Are u kidding me, I ordered correctly you guys got it wrong! Not impressed with how the situation was dealt, when I enlightened them on thier mistake .2 orders, 40 bucks a meal, should feel like it's worth it, like the first order did! Was not compensated in any way, no sympathy given. We order out a fair amount and you just lost good customers! Sorry last time we...

I saw an email from Joey's advertising $1 Dumpling Wednesday, so I made my way to the McLeod location. Staff were friendly. They were patient answering my questions regarding the sauces. They were apologetic after both my chosen sauces were not available. I ordered 6 Shrimp Dumplings and 6 Pork Dumplings with Thai Chili and Buffalo sauces. The dumplings were piping hot. The shrimp ones had more mixture of other ingredients while the pork was more uniformly one color. While I enjoy both dumplings, the pork ones came out slightly ahead for me. The sauces were nice but unnecessary as the dumplings had plenty of flavor. Honestly, these dumplings are better than some of the dumpling exclusive restaurants in town and cheaper, too.

We went there around 4:30 pm. Ordered a 3pc mix fish with fries and added one more friend fish since I’m not a big fan of fries. And Calamari is on the side as a starter! + $3 for coleslaw as well. We wanted to try 3 different kinds of fish they have. All of there were very crispy outside but moist and soft inside. Seems like they use very clean cooking oil!! And they didn’t put a lot of seasonings on the fish and fries which I loved it. Very classic 😎 We were satisfied with the food. Reasonable price : )) Personally, I like the Hadock the most and then Joey’s special for the second winner. My husband said every fish tasted the same to me😄
