Pür & Simple — Restaurant in Calgary

We went for brunch to the new location this morning. We were so excited to try it. However, once we were there the whole experience quickly went down hill. It took out server 20 minutes to take our order. Then after 45 minutes we were brought half of our drinks. We didn’t order anything fancy and there were only 5 of us so not a huge group. Another 15 minutes to get the other half of our drinks. At no point did we get coffee refills. Then after nearly an hour and a half our food came out. My husband was given the completely wrong meal. My son’s eggs were raw and runny. Our server then said she would speak to the manager. We are unsure if this happened. After another 20 minutes they brought out my husbands meal. However after waiting so long he ate the wrong meal. Still no coffee refills. No apologies given no acknowledgement. Had to wait another 15 minutes for our bill. We were there for over 2 and half hours. I can understand that this is a new location and that not everything goes smoothly all of the time. However that being said not even an apology or anything that this had happened. Would not recommend this location if you are in a hurry. The food was decent at least. After all...

Went for breakfast. They have gluten free bread options. Portions are great for a working guy. Smashburger was excellent, as I am diabetic and had to skip out on the caramel and cinnamon pancakes, I am sure I would have enjoyed, there are some lunch options available on the breakfast menu if you are like me and usually have to skip the sweet stuff. Hashbrowns were excellent, striking the line of savory, but still approachable for those with spice limitations.

They were able to substitute a side option for fruit for a member of our party. Menu options are extensive. Took a little while to decide what I wanted. Would recommend checking out their site for an idea of the options available, if you are a foodie like me, you are going to be excited. I'll skip the photos, but I can tell you the presentations for each meal when they arrived were spot on.

My kids tend to be reserved at meal time but the crepes and pancakes were well recieved, and they didn't ask for a snack within the first two hours afterward.

Our server Taylor was both very responsive and nice. Had great suggestions about what is on the menu.

Came here Saturday morning with my wife and 10-month old baby. We knew our baby doesn’t have much patience so we got in, got our table immediately ordered and that is when everything went wrong.

We ordered 2 benedicts, 2 juices and a side of sausage links.

After about 30 mins, I had to ask our server if we could have some water at least. Waited about an hour and I got up and asked our server how our food is coming along and if it’s on the griddle. I was told the food hasn’t even made the grill yet. At that moment I told the server to leave it and I can pay for the drinks and be on our way.

Seeing the positive reviews is what made is want to come. The place was busy, but not slammed. Our drinks were covered by management which was nice. Can’t comment on the food because we never ended up trying it. Another couple mentioned that they waited 45 mins for the bill. Another couple waited 40 mins for water.
