I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding the experience I had at your Jollibee location at E267-9190 MacLeod Trail, Calgary, AB T2J 0P5 on the evening of June 24th at approximately 6:00 PM.
Upon arrival, there was a line of customers. Directly in front of me was a man who appeared to be visibly under the influence—his eyes were red and his behavior erratic. One of your employees was taking orders using an iPad. Both I and the man ahead of me placed our orders and were given buzzers after proceeding to the cashier to pay. We waited between 20 to 30 minutes for our orders, only to notice that customers who arrived after us were receiving their food before we did. At that point, I approached the counter to inquire about my order (#43), only to be informed—after the staff reprinted my receipt—that it had been “lost in the queue.” My food was then hastily prepared.
Shortly afterward, the man ahead of me (who had also placed his order at the same time) approached the counter with a similar concern. The same issue had occurred with his receipt and order. As he began to express his frustration—understandably, after an unreasonably long wait—he began using strong language. It was at this point that a manager intervened. However, instead of asking what the issue was or attempting to de-escalate the situation, she immediately responded by stating, “We do not tolerate verbal abuse.”
What was even more disappointing was that she continued to speak negatively about the customer in Tagalog, assuming he would not understand—a practice that is highly unprofessional and deeply inappropriate, especially in a customer service setting. Her focus was on defending the staff rather than understanding or addressing the root cause of the situation. That manager could have offered us anything just to make up for that mistake. Just addition to this if the man was too aggressive or abusive to the staff he would have not stayed and finished his food in the restaurant.
This entire encounter left me extremely frustrated and disheartened. I have always spoken highly of Jollibee and was excited to introduce it to my children as a part of my heritage and positive cultural experiences. Unfortunately, this experience has tainted that sentiment.
I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously, and that immediate action is taken to ensure this level of unprofessionalism and disorganization does not continue. No customer should have to deal with lost orders, long unexplained wait times, or disrespect from staff...
Read moreI recently visited a Jollibee restaurant, and I have to say it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory. Upon entering, I waited in line for about five minutes, which was reasonable. However, when I reached the counter to place my order, the employee, who appeared to be the manager, overcharged me by three dollars for a chicken sandwich combo. This overpricing was not just frustrating but also set the tone for the rest of my unfortunate visit.
The chicken sandwich I received was abysmal. It was, without a doubt, the worst chicken sandwich I’ve had in the last three years. The fries that accompanied the meal were dry and tasted like leftovers, adding to my disappointment. To make matters worse, the mayo was sour and reminiscent of stomach acid, making the meal inedible.
The wait times were equally appalling. My friends, who ordered the same chicken sandwich combos, had to wait ten minutes each for their orders. For a fast-food establishment, this delay is unacceptable and shows a lack of efficiency in service. Adding to the negative experience, the restaurant smelled like cigarettes, which made the environment unpleasant and unwelcoming.
The seating situation was another issue, as there was hardly any seating available. This lack of space made it difficult to find a comfortable spot to eat. Additionally, the bathroom was filthy, which is always a major red flag when it comes to hygiene standards in any dining establishment.
Lastly, I was disturbed by a creepy and provocative sign in the restaurant featuring the Jollibee mascot encouraging kids to “shake their bottom.” This message was unsettling and inappropriate, especially in a family-oriented restaurant. It left me questioning the judgment of those responsible for the restaurant’s decor and messaging.
Overall, I am appalled, horrified, and utterly disgusted by the state of this Jollibee restaurant. The poor customer service, incorrect pricing, dreadful food quality, unclean facilities, and inappropriate signage have ensured that I will not be returning. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this location to anyone. Save your time and money and find somewhere...
Read moreHands down some of the absolute best chicken I've had, top 3 all time for sure.
Seasoned nicely, especially the spicy chicken, juicy in the middle and crispy on the outside, perfectly balanced.
-Everything on their menu is great except for the fries.
-Special shout out for the gravy which is not only delicious but comes complimentary with any piece chicken.
-Great value, compared to most chicken places especially when you get a bucket meal that comes with pancit/spaghetti and drinks.
-Their pineapple quencher is some of the best juice I've had.
Staff is always friendly.
Cons,
they mess up the drive through order quite a bit, even when they confirm your order back to you before you go pay. I never have this issue when walking in.
When it gets busier, sometimes complete orders sit on the counter getting cold before someone realizes, either a customer or employee.
Fries are very bland, you're way better off getting mashed potatoes.
their pineapple quencher is pricey at $4/cup and theyre half the size as their fountain drink cups, and you get even less with the amount of ice they put in there. This wouldn't be an issue if they had their pineapple juice dispenser with the fountain drinks in the seating area but instead they're guarding it behind the counter like it's the fountain of youth.
Definitely would be an easy five stars if those issue weren't persistent.
I highly recommend anyone that loves fried chicken especially spicy chicken to try Jollibee, just avoid the fries...
