First let me say I’ve never written a review on any restaurant, but this experience was so great I have to. The restaurant in question is Karma Fine Indian Cuisine.
My girlfriend and I went there on a Monday night. We were looking for something different from what we normally have and it was highly recommended to us, so we made the choice to go and try it out. I have had my fair share of Indian food over the past years, so I’m somewhat familiar with the cuisine, but let me tell you I am no expert.
I’ve worked in the restaurant/bar industry for over 28 years and have experienced many great restaurants. Karma is one of those. To start, when we walked in the door, remember it’s a Monday night, typically not a busy night for the industry. We walked in and was greeted within seconds and I had made a reservation just to be safe. We were greeted and I said I had a reservation and gave them my name and they simply said welcome, we have been expecting you and lead us to our seat. At first glance of the restaurant, it is a small venue but right away it felt comfortable and welcoming. The Decor was perfect, not over done, which was nice, again felt very comfortable.
Soon after being seated and our drink order was taken, we opened the menu and started to have a look. The menu was laid out nicely. Lots of options in every category, but not too much that you found yourself lost and not sure what to have. We had ideas already of what to eat and found everything we wanted and more.
We started out with the Vegetable Samosa, then the Mild and Sweet Butter Chicken, Prawn Korma and Onion Kulcha Nan Bread. I have to say as well as the staff was understanding with our allergy concerns and were happy to help and make sure that we had no concerns. Well from start to finish it was simply amazing in every aspect. We ended up ordering more and my only regret is that I was too full to eat anymore.
I have to also comment on the washrooms, yes washrooms. Again all the years of going out to dine in restaurants, this was one more great thing about this restaurant, to say clean would not do it justice. And just like the movie Pulp Fiction, coming back to your table to more great fresh food was great.
I will be going back for sure as there are so many great menu items that we didn’t try but will for sure, I will be bring reinforcements next time as I’ll have a group with me to help try more of what they have to offer.
So from our first few seconds after walking in the door, to the look of the restaurant, to the washroom, service and the great amazing food, I would highly recommended this restaurant. If you have never tried Indian Cuisine, this should be your first Indian restaurant to try, I do warn you though, it may be you last as you’ll not want to try any other Indian restaurants. And if your experienced with Indian food, well, the same goes for you, you’ll most likely not go to another and make Karma your one and only.
Can’t wait to return and have another over all great experience from start to finish and I look forward to stuffing...
Read moreRating: ★★★★★★★★★★ (10/10) Our recent visit to Karma Fine Indian Cuisine was nothing short of exceptional, and we feel compelled to share our experience. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere, thanks in large part to our delightful hostess, Kylea. Her genuine smile and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home, setting the tone for what would become a memorable dining experience.
Being our first visit, we appreciated Kylea’s thorough explanation of the menu and her thoughtful suggestions for dishes. It was clear that she was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about the food, which made us feel comfortable and excited to place our order.
To our pleasant surprise, the Manager even took the time to visit our table during the meal. Their engagement and interest in our experience added a personal touch that is often lacking in many restaurants. It was wonderful to feel valued as guests, and it spoke volumes about the level of care and service at Karma.
Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish was a masterpiece, prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. From the aromatic spices to the beautifully presented plates, every bite was a delightful journey through the rich and diverse culinary landscape of Indian cuisine. It’s difficult to put into words just how tasty each dish was, but we can confidently say that every single one exceeded our expectations.
The ambiance of Karma Fine Indian Cuisine is equally impressive. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, exuding an elegant yet cozy vibe. It was also impeccably clean, which added to our overall comfort during the meal. We felt relaxed and at ease, allowing us to truly savor the experience.
If there were 100 stars available for a review, we would give Karma Fine Indian Cuisine that and more. This restaurant has certainly set a high bar for Indian cuisine in the area, and we can’t wait to return to explore more of the menu. Thank you, Kylea, the Manager and the entire team at Karma, for an unforgettable evening filled with incredible food and...
Read moreI usually go to this restaurant to have Indian food as all the other Indian restaurants in NE. It was a very nice experience all other times before. But today this happened. My 6 year old order an Apple juice. When she sees that glass of apple juice she asked, “mom is this apple juice “ I was busy with my 15 month old baby , so I said yes it is. I thought she just wanted to make sure what juice was that. But later I knew she asked that coz of the colour of the glass. At the half of the juice she found something in her mouth. Then my husband checked that , and found another piece like that inside the glass of apple juice. We were not sure about it is a some kind of spice or a little animal. So we asked Server about the juice, she brought the carton with the juice. And she pour that in to a glass it looks clear apple juice. But our apple juice glass is faded colour. the server was thinking may be my daughter put some food in it. We wanted to talk to the manager. But manager didn’t come to the table as she is busy cooking. So my husband had to go to her. What she said the same. My daughter may put some food in to it. But we are so sure it’s not food it came same colour as in the picture. They did not care at all. We are so upset, as my kids drink them already. We paid the full bill (except for the apple juice)without finishing our food, coz after that we won’t feel like eating, even I didn’t drink any water. And even we left a small tip for the server too, Coz we know she didn’t meant to give us old juice. My husband look that little piece home to send that to the food inspection, he works for restaurant business. Overall so disappointed today. Never go back.
I can’t add the picture, somebody tell me how to do...
