Lovely Sweets & Restaurant — Restaurant in Calgary

SAVE YOUR MONEY. TERRIBLE -5*. I have been a regular here for a long time. NOT ANYMORE. DISGUSTING I wish I could give 0 stars or negative stars. We bought like $230 worth Sweets for Diwali.

I asked for some samples at the front counter and they gave them and they tasted great like they usually do. The stuff we bought was definitely not the same thing. It was GROSS. The restaurant probably reused the same nasty oil for their Diwali delights.

The kalakand tasted like it was sour (spoiled), the ladoo had a gross burnt oil taste.

Not only was I embarrassed as I gave the boxes out for Diwali, then had to go ask for the boxes back. It was all bad.

I called them they said bring it back and we will either exchange it or give you your money back. I was very embarrassed, but I did. When we got there they started saying they would not take it back or exchange it. The guy right after me had same issue.

I would NOT go here. Terrible food. Terrible service. Shame on you lovely.

They did the same thing to the The uncle in line after me. They told me to bring it back and when he got there, they started insulting him by saying it’s not actually their fault in their product is fine. He seen what they did with me and he was not going to have anyone talk to him like that.

He threw his ladoo all over and on the floor when they insulted him about the same issue. He said “ahh chuck!” Good...

I have bought sweets at this place a few times before but I have honestly never been much of a fan. Today, I had to buy a large quantity for a party so I resorted to this place. From the moment I opened the box, the sweets had a distinct old smell and an even worse taste, it was obvious that it was going bad. It wasn’t only me, many people from the party said the same thing. I called them not too long after to simply make them aware of this problem, but I received extremely poor customer service from them, they refused to hear anything I had to say even though I was being quite respectful.

I am honestly very disappointed with their service and I definitely don’t think you are getting your money’s worth here. From my personal experience, the ingredients they use for the sweets are not fresh and seem to be reused too many times resulting in the poor quality. Please be careful before...

We just dined in there and left few minutes ago. I am really satisfied with the quality of food but i had worst customer service from the Punjabi girl who was serving us. My husband ordered gulab jamun what somehow i was not known. When we went to the front desk to pay my husband was in washroom. And that girl said you ordered two gulab jamun it’s ready me and my other friend both were wondering that we didn’t ordered that we guess. And we said we will wait for our husbands and confirm it. But That girl behaved really bad. And said you ordered gulab jamun. Don’t make faces like that I don’t like. Like really this is the standard of a customer service employee??. I am really disappointed with that. And i am suggesting you if your mood is good and going for dine to have good time. Try to choose other restaurant. She just spoiled our mood. Again food...
