To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the Big Mary $1.93 promotional offer advertised for November 5. As a loyal Mary Brown’s customer who lives in the community and grew up in Newfoundland, I was shocked and disgusted by what occurred. At approximately 5:00 PM, I attempted to place an order through the Mary Brown’s app for the Big Mary sandwich as part of the promotion. However, the offer was blurred out on the app, making it impossible to complete the order. Determined to support the brand, I drove to the Country Hills location in Calgary. Upon arrival, the cashier informed me that they had “sold too many today” and that if I wanted a Big Mary, I would need to pay the regular price. When I expressed that this was misleading and unacceptable, the cashier stated that their boss instructed them to say this. This is not only poor customer service—it is deceptive marketing. The promotion was advertised, yet customers were denied access without prior notice or clear terms. Driving to the location only to be refused the offer is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Mary Brown’s integrity. I am requesting that this franchise be held accountable and disciplined for this behavior. Customers should never be misled by false advertising or denied a national promotion. I also expect a written explanation of how this occurred and what corrective measures will be implemented to prevent this from happening again. Additionally, I believe compensation for the inconvenience is warranted, such as a voucher or credit for the advertised offer. If this issue is not addressed promptly, I will escalate my complaint to consumer protection authorities and share my experience publicly. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your...
Read moreJust an hour ago, I placed an order on the MB App. The girl at the delivery counter does not even know how to deliver the order being placed. I walked in and showed her the order placed online and it clearly says that the order is ready for pick up. She, being in her own absent minded world, did not give me my order and instead started preparing other orders. When another order popped up from Skips, she prepared it and was handing it to me. She did not even know / recognize her own MB app when I was showing her the order on my phone, the first time When I asked her if she not know that my order was already ready, she rolled her eyes on me and rudly told me, you could hv ordered through skip. So basically she was blaming me and did not want to accept her fault. Skips has its own app and MB app is its own. If an employee cannot tell the difference, where the order was placed from then don't know how she will hand out the right order placed by the person. I could hv walked away with someone else's order where as mine was all ready and sitting in their...
Read moreIt's always gonna be the Spicy Big Mary that keeps my family and I coming back here. Addictive and you get your bang for your buck, especially on Mondays - $4 for their Big Mary chicken sandwiches, so get it before the end of day rush!
Hands down, the best chicken sandwich for price point - thick-portioned, juicy without being greasy chicken between a neutral flavoured soft bun, great sauce, and fresh crunch from the pickles or lettuce that you choose. Loooove that they sprinkle extra cayenne onto the chicken their spicy sandwich and keep the regular with a simple mayo. Definitely more palatable for those with lower spice tolerance - but you can always ask for the spicy mayo sub.
Everything else on the menu is okay. Pretty good onion rings; underwhelming fries and fried chicken; tasty wraps, tenders, and popcorn chicken; not a fan of the Buffalo sauce they use; decent selection of sides; really crispy and sweet apple hand pie!
