Maxima Bakery & Cake House — Restaurant in Calgary

While the pineapple buns here are pretty good, the ladies working have really bad customer service. They don't smile or say thank you but being Chinese I guess that's the norm. But what really rubbed me wrong was when the lady working there had some beef with a customer during an incident.

The customer had asked a simple question about price but for some reason the lady was offended. The customer ended up not buying the baked goods and later went to the supermarket side (Lamda) to line up to pay for groceries.

However the lady from the bakery came over to the grocery checkout and started swearing at the customer who didn't buy from her saying: "FUT YOU FUT YOU!!!" (the way it's spelled that's literally how she yelled it out) several times over and over.. in front of all the customers who were lining up.

I decided to not return and support such a bakery and felt bad for...

Absolutely disgusting customer service. The customers were asking about prices for the different buns they picked out on their tray. The two workers decided to give the customers an attitude. Example, “You don’t know how to read? The prices are on the signs!” And they didn’t stop there, it went on for a couple minutes. At this point, the customer stop asking question, paid and left the store and continue their shopping in Lambda Supermarket.

The workers should have just move on and serve me instead (I’m next in line). HOWEVER, the two workers decided to start swearing at the two customers. All the way into Lambda supermarket as well.

This whole incident made me pretty upset, so both my wife and I decided to stop supporting this business.

Pastries are good and fresh but customer service is horrible. Got yelled at from the short hair lady because she couldn’t hear me correctly and she misunderstood. Wasn’t so busy the line up was only 3-4 customers but she made it seem like she’s got 20 people waiting for her. She asked if I wanted one box or two, I said one and she assumed I said two when she had to bag it again she got mad and said I wasted her time.
