If only I could rate "0",this would be my rating. I passby this morning after my blood test from Sunpark Plaza between 10am to 10:15am. I usually go to Timmies but since I got a voucher with free small fries and a coffee (I got that voucher from Airdrie, Filipino Summer Fest), I wanna make use of it - for sure it's not a big loss for MacDonalds giving those freebies. When I handed it over to the young Filipino cashier, she called the Old woman also a Filipino as she was not sure about it. So the Old woman said it's not valid in the store. I was wondering, so where is it valid as it says MacDonald? She said only in the participating restaurant, I could not even see the lists of the restaurant, to cut short, I just order my food without voucher and sat down. Few minutes later, I heard the voice of that Old woman talking about the voucher and myself in a loud voice in Filipino language, telling to her Co-Workers that I am being "kuripot" (meaning stingy, not willing to spend). I was still planning of seating there for few minutes more... when I heard that I lost my appetite, I went to the counter (was looking for that Old Lady but I cannot see her anymore). I just told to the young cashier to pass on my message, it's not being "stingy", I just want to use that voucher. If I am stingy, I could have just walk away and not buy anything.
Just wanna say something... eventhough you are mad or upset with your customers, don't discuss it where everyone or other customers hear you, you might not know that customer is still seating in your restaurant. That was rude, a disrespectful behaviour that needs to be corrected especially in customer...
Read moreFor once, the fries were not a sad, soggy mess. For the first time in my life McDonald fries were actually crunchy.
Now the burger: When I first opened the little box to take a look at the inevitable disaster I would eat, I felt... ENLIGHTENED. For the first time in EVER a McDonald's burger actually somewhat looked like the picture. The bun was actually round and full and not the miserable flat thing that makes me want to cry very time I go to a McDonald's. Now the lettuce in my burger was at best subpar but that's expected. The whole thing tasted like that distinct McDonald's taste: salty and greasy enough to make you question your life choices, and then for whatever reason decide that McD's is Infact somehow worth the future cardiac arrest.
The staff: I didn't really strike up a conversation with them because I wanted food and not social interaction, but they finished up my order pretty quick.
So why have I rated this life changing McDonald's a three star? Well that's because there were a couple of flies and one fruit fly. It's not really something I wanted to see in a place that I would sit down and eat in. I would have rated a two star but this particular McDonald's has already somehow exceeded the low bar of expectations I have for this...
Read moreWell, what once was good is not so of late. This must be the fourth time out of the last half dozen visits at this location where the order has not been completed correctly. Order a double hamburger and get a single, or a double cheeseburger and get no cheese. By the time they figure out how to put and extra burger on the single and put cheese on the other the fries are cold. Then you cant be arsed going back yet again to get the hot fries you ordered. The very odd times of late that orders have been correct I've witnessed others getting particularly frustrated with their own incorrect orders. Seems there is another 'new normal' in town. And to top it off a friend joins us and says "seriously, it's like every order lately". Maybe it's time to find a new...
