I never as a caucasion canadian citizen felt so discriminated against in Mcdonalds 3660 12th ave ne store in my life. I attended 36th ave and 12 st ne Calgary alberta on monday january 13 2020. I went thru the drive thru at approx 10am. I would like to order 2 mcgriddle chicken sandwiches and that's it i would like on a separate bill too order a large triple triple coffee please . He said no I asked why he said head office designated we are only allowed one purchase in drive thru I said is there a manager available? he said yes I said ok i will come in and inquire . once inside I seen a customer having a dispute with the front till attendant about his wait time on purchasing one single coffee. I waited my turn and asked politely too speak to a manager the lady said what for I explained. She said the manager is busy I said ok that's fine i will wait. She pulled her (personal phone from her pocket and dialed a number). She said I dont know she is in a meeting with her Boss. I said thats ok can I please have the managers name? she said I dont know her name. I said ok may I please have your name as she had no name tag on. She said me um mm hmm I dont have a name. she appeared to be of east Indian decent she had on some blue woolly coat on and was very snarly and rude to me I said to her WOW i am going to be filing a complaint and will be taking my business to a friendlier location. With no name how is this women even employed ? Her personal phone while working is that not a food safe hazard as most people use their phone on the toilets now adays? Not only the attitude and the poor customer service but food safe violations. I thought to myself this is probably her way of racism get a she probably has had other complaints written about her. Too blatantly tell me she has no name at all . i was very polite and professional. if I had acted this way i would have deserved to be treated in that manner I then drove to 2740 32 nd ave no issue was served at drive thru the same way requested at 3660 12 st ne at this place I explained to them what had happened they told me 2 purchases per vehicle is allowed according...
Read moreFirst for a Manager to give attitude is very bad and wrong not to mention when something is not satisfactory; it should be addressed, and corrected. not with attitude or lies and or excuses. As a McDonald manager you should be training your staff on all aspects of the duties and machines in the Restaurant. for the example we ordered 2 Vanilla ice cream Cones, that really where unacceptable, to be told that the Ice Cream was soft, than to change to well we weigh them when you did not and then to give us an attitude rather than fix the issue. This is an opportunity to train and even as a manager you need to be trained on customer respect. Now if you have a bad day, like everyone else does you still need to show respect. It is very imperative to train your staff as well as make sure you managers are also trained correctly. We really got a shock with the treatment just because the manager did not want to make new Ice Cream Cones that should have been done correctly. Hope this will bring some like to the McDonald's Management to make training and corrections to how to treat customers.
Thank you for your time and hope this will bring some light to what was a bad day for the Lady manager whom gave us a bad experience over just making our Ice Cream cones correct, hope you have a great day and will see that we do not get angry, but we will make sure you...
Read moreI have been going through the drive thru for many years as it is close to my work and I have to say the morning drive thru lady that takes your orders and the payment at the first window has the worst customer service I have ever had. She acts like she is inconvenienced that she is being paid to take your order, she doesn't listen, you need to repeat your order over and over and she still can't get it right. She has been there for over a year, you'd think she would be able to take orders properly by now. She works at McDonald's not NASA!
Today, I placed my order, she asked if it was correct on the screen (it was not of course) I tell her twice it's not correct, she then yells at me telling me to not yell at her and to come to the first window. I pull up, she doesn't apologize to me or say anything except to go to the next window.
I had stop going there and started going to Tim Hortons because I didn't want to have morning interactions with that miserable woman and today was my first time back, I will stick with going to Tim's in the morning. It's unfortunate because the ladies at the food pick up window are so nice, friendly and polite, I feel sorry for them that they have to spend their days...
