I've been here twice now, both times ordering pork belly soup with pork broth, though with different fixings.
The first time, I tried bamboo shoots in my soup, and they didn't sit well on my tastebuds but everything else tasted good.
The second time, I ordered corn, scallions, enoki & shitake mushrooms and the dish was up there with the best ramen I've had. There is no other ramen place in the vicinity that compares.
Pork Broth - creamy, fatty, salty (but not quite as much as I've normally found with tonkontsu) and just the right temperature for my preferences. I can only think of two or three ramen places with tonkontsu broth I enjoy more and they are larger establishments, farther away than I'd like, and more expensive.
Pork Belly - I love this pork belly. Thick, tender, layers of fat and meat that almost melts in the mouth. I've only ever had one serving of better pork belly, and the only difference between that and this was that the fat from Oishidesu was not carmelized with a cooking torch. It's a small thing though, and even without it, it's far ahead of other ramen pork belly offerings I have enjoyed.
Noodles - the noodles were standard restaurant ramen noodles, not the poorer quality instant ramen kind. The only reason I mention this is I have, disappointedly, had ramen at a other ramen shops which used the instant noodle and so thought others, picky like me, would appreciate the information.
Default Fixings - shredded seaweed, fish-cake slice, and egg. All pretty standard fare except some may find the egg somewhat undercooked for their preferences, though I enjoyed it the way it was. I'm not 100% sure this list is inclusive as I paid more attention to the broth and the meat .
Custom Fixings - The corn, scallions, enoki and shitake I chose the second time all tasted as expected and will likely remain my go-to moving forward.
Beyond that, I also asked for a side seaweed salad, was informed that it was not available for purchase but was given a small side of it anyway, which was...
Read moreWe ordered 2 sumo ramens, one with mushroom and one without(allergy) as well as added extra toppings. When our food arrived, we were starving so we ate immediately, only to realize that our orders had been completely mixed up. The no mushroom had mushrooms, the toppings for the mushroom sumo were on the no mushroom. We didn’t notice all this at first because a) there’s a lot of ingredients in the bowls and b) who is going to pick through each bowl to make sure it’s all there. From our first impression, it looked alright, his had the extra eggs on top, mine was covered in red Chili, so we knew who’s was who’s. Unfortunately a light allergy attack was the result of the mix up. I immediately filled out Skip The Dishes complaint form, but never heard back. So we called the next day, not expecting a refund or anything mind you, just to explain to them what had gone wrong for us. The owner then ranted to me on the phone that we should’ve thoroughly inspected our order first, and that since we have no photo of our order, it made it difficult for her to show the chefs what went wrong. After 5 minutes of her ranting, and holding the phone away from my ear as they went on and on, I thanked her and said goodbye. I agree that we should’ve taken a photo, but again, we just wanted to let them know that they screwed it up - not get victim blamed for THEIR mistake. We won’t be returning just because of the error in our order, but the lack of professionalism in handling a situation that never should’ve happened in the first place. Very disappointed and will be taking our business to a location...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible. Food is NOT fresh and made my son sick.
We ordered a Poke bowl for my child and rather than salmon, it was tuna - which was fine. Issue was the food was not fresh and tuna was extremely fishy tasting. I tried it when my child said it tasted horrible in case it was a case of simple whining, this was not the case. The tuna was so disgusting I too spit it out. The rice was also super over cooked and soggy like congee porridge. For $14 you'd expect some quality....
Price is ridiculous for what you get especially since it isn't fresh. $14 for a small poke bowl...wow.
Service was horrible too!!! All she did was sit there in her phone and as soon as I went up to order and pay, it was attitude capital like I disturbed her. I have no idea what she thinks a job is but she definitely doesn't understand what a job is in my opinion.
I highly do NOT recommend this joint, it is one of the top worst places I have ever been too.

If I could rate this place a zero, I would. Definitely not what you would expect from a smaller mom and pop...
