So I just want to say I have nothing against the overall joint, I'm sure they're fine. The issue in question is because of the sloppyness of staff in this certain location on this particular day.
So I walked in there with company but wasn't really hungry so I ended up ordering their grilled assorted vegetables. So just vegetables right, oil, spices? Well the vegetables tasted kind of sour, not sure if they had a weird sour spice on them or if they just werent entirely fresh. But most importantly I found at least two pieces of CHEESE in there. That's not a part of the recipe, not something advertised, definitely wasn't intentional based on the small amount. Not sure how many more pieces were in there, I ate a good amount of it before noticing.
That is ⚠️CROSS-CONTAMINATION⚠️. Harmless to me, but if someone extremely lactose intolerant ordered the vegetables in an attempt to avoid lactose, you could give them a pretty severe health issue.
The vegetables in question were carrot, zucchini and bell pepper, not your usual shawarma toppings for cheese to drop into there accidentally. Thats a sign of a sloppy kitchen to me and I know I'm nitpicking and grilled vegetables aren't a big deal, but I don't want to find out the hard way if there is any other cross-contamination going on.
No they were not busy at the time we came in, there was no chance of something being messed up in a huge rush.
Maybe it's just my luck that day but I'm afraid I don't want to go back there for a...
Read moreEXTREMELY disappointed with my latest visit. I had picked up a shawarma box one day prior to this incident - got home and the meat smelled really off so I called the restaurant and the same lady that had served me attended the phone and responded very professionally. She was polite, took ownership and showed accountability. My immediate concern was to let her know and be aware since the restaurant was still open and serving other customers. The lady told me the restaurant wanted to make it right and replace my order. I said that wouldn’t be necessary but she told me she’d take my details and I could return at any time for the restaurant to replace my order.
I wish I hadn’t gone back because the following day, I happened to be in the area and I walked into the restaurant to a very disappointing reception. The lady that greeted me (different person) had a very cold demeanour, kept speaking over me and from the very onset, treated me like a liar trying to get a free meal out of her. She was aware of the incident on the prior day but tried to chalk it off to my selection of ingredients and even said “why did you add pickles? you know they’re sour right?” Excuse me?
It’s a very sad day for the business if this is how Osmow’s has started treating...
Read moreWe placed an order for the Chicken Shawarma Poutine on July 25th at 11:00 PM, and I’m writing to express my absolute outrage over what we received. I’m mentioning the exact date and time so that your management can identify who was working the counter and kitchen, because this experience was beyond unacceptable.
The poutine was drenched in an absurd amount of sauce—it was soggy, nasty, and completely ruined. We selected the usual “hot” spice level (which we’ve ordered many times before), but this was nowhere near your standard. It was so extremely spicy that my companion couldn’t even eat it—her tongue was literally burning. This kind of excessive spicing goes against any normal food safety or quality standard, and it was honestly dangerous.
It’s very clear that whoever made that dish had zero concern for quality or the customer’s well-being. That kind of negligence is a direct threat to your brand’s reputation.
We are not letting this go lightly. We are formally filing a customer complaint with the Osmow’s head office and franchise authorities. This is not just about poor food—it’s about irresponsible behavior that could harm someone’s health.
We expect a serious response and proper...
