Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Calgary

I did it! I found the best Schwarma Shop in Calgary. I give six stars out of five so I don’t have to down regulate all the other good schwarmas in the city. I’ve been here twice now and met the manager, Inder both times. He is very polite, attentive, eager and friendly. I asked a bunch of questions and he answered them all patiently.

Both times I ordered a mix beef/schwarma wrap with a little lettuce, reg tomatoes, extra onion and a couple pickles; medium hot sauce with sweet garlic sauce. The first few bites with no sauce, I found the meat incredibly juicy and tender with the most amazing spice combo. It’s good all on its own with no sauce or spice. The garlic is subtle with a perfect (relative) amount of sweetness. They make their own hot sauces and I gotta say the medium was a true medium. Not too spicy with a little taste to it.

I also ordered an Osmow’s special. It’s like a “Montfort Chicken” if you ever graced “Montfort Mediterranean Cuisine” in Oakville, ON. It’s a pita wrap with chicken and pineapple. I ordered it with a little lettuce, extra onions and extra garlic sauce. Oh my, this is the best sandwich ever!

The place is set up with a good flow, nice lighting and colours. Also the bathrooms were clean, that means a lot to me. This is Hands Down the best Mediterranean schwarma shop in the city. I predict long line ups in the future:(

This is got to be at least one of my top three picks for "Best-Damned-Shawarma in Calgary," if not, my number one pick! The crispy chicken wrap (+ feta) is top tier and that goes with the top tier service that you get here! Friendly staff with warm, smiling faces, feel-good, seriously delicious food served warm n' ready every time.

We had ordered 1 Regular Mix Wrap & 1 Super Size Crispy Chicken Wrap, and even with the slight mix-up of which wrap was supposed to be what size, we left with a huge smile on our face yet again after they let us keep the original wraps and still made us a new fresh crispy chicken just to be sure we got what we ordered. So kind of them to do this and without any haste or hostility; which, I am certain, we have all faced far too many fast food attendants whom have made it feel like it was our fault that they had made a mistake in the past... Well you can certainly believe that that would be an experience of the past anytime that you visit Osmow's! What a cool crowd of cats running this place and wonderfully extended hours here too! They're open until 5:00 a.m. and we have far too few places here that are actually open past 10:00 p.m. and being that I'm a night owl myself, I will never complain about late...
