I have a LOT to say about Pacini that I just found super amusing and hilarious. Honestly I checked it out because of that viral IG reel of the unlimited bread bar, and I LOVE bread so of course I had to go. My friends and I accidentally chose the coldest day of 2024 January to eat, and I don't know if it's because of that, that they seemed short staffed. I stood at the entrance for 5+ minutes before someone told me I could sit at a table, and that person was one of the kitchen staff!! It was a fairly empty dining room despite being near dinner time so they just said I could sit anywhere I want. So I did. My friends came and we tried the bread bar. BREAD BAR WAS FANTASTIC. They had different breads to pick from, and of course the foccaccia was on point. They had different types of butter to try as a spread before grilling it yourself. Loved that experience. Apparently some of the butter options were missing though? So we only got to try the garlic butter, pesto butter, and tomato and basil butter. They were all excellent. Obviously you need to order food to use the bread bar. The food was alright. We got a duck confit pizza that was a little on the dry side. The sauce was drizzled honey. The flavour was good but the duck was kinda dry. I pick duck dishes wherever I go so I'm not just being picky I really do eat a lot of duck 👀🦆 the Mille feuille shitake lasagna my friends said tasted amazing and they liked it! I'm not a mushroom fan so that's on me. The pesto arugula pasta we got was pretty good too! Also on me that I don't like goat cheese lol. You can switch it to Asiago but I totally forgot when I ordered. Their truffle fries were amazing!! Just know I'm not docking stars in my rating purely because of the food--the bread bar and truffle fries were bomb. Bread bar 5/5 tbh. The kitchen staff who seated us was very friendly and gave us recommendations on what we should try because it was our first time here. Kitchen staff interactions 5/5--he definitely cared about our dining experience. Our server accidentally dipped his pinky in my friend's cup of water when he was putting the food down on our table. Played it off like no one saw--but of course we saw. We could NOT hold in our laughter after he left and obviously my friend was not going to drink from that cup after so we snatched a cup from the table beside and pretended nothing happened. Because you know, it's a little awkward for everyone. Innocent mistakes we get it. My friends and I ran out of water several times during dinner and we never got our water refilled. We saw extra water bottles bear the bar area and the little tap and kept debating whether to go get more water ourselves but we didn't. We kept an eye out for our server the entire time but he seemed to have gone MIA?! At one point we saw him just put on a jacket and leave through the front door. We were confused--did he clock out? We sat there and just waited even though we were done eating. We weren't in a rush but we really wanted water. None of the other servers paid us any mind probably because our table wasn't assigned to them, but they were sparse (remember, it was a kitchen staff who came and seated us! He wouldve gotten us water if he knew, even though it wouldn'thave been his job to, bless his soul). Eventually our server returned and did give us water and bring our bills. So in summary: bread bar 5/5, friendly kitchen staff 5/5 The rest was mid.

On a recent trip to Calgary we stayed at the Holiday Inn. One of our last nights there we decided to try Pacini, which is located in the hotel. It's been a while since I've had a restaurant experience that was so good! The atmosphere was incredible - and surprising. If I hadn't known we were inside a hotel I never would have guessed. Real thought and effort went into developing the ambiance here. The service was great! Quick, efficient, and friendly. Absolutely no complaints. And the food! Amazing. We decided to splurge a little and go all out since everything on the menu looked delicious. The arancini appetizer was a great way to start the meal (a little pricey for what you got, but good nonetheless). We ordered the chicken parm sandwich with parmegiana fries and the carbonara and split them so we could each try both. Those fries! I'm telling you. Best fries I've ever had. And they aren't just potatoes - other veggie "fries" are included and you will not be disappointed. The chicken parm sandwich was great. The carbonara was so rich and creamy. Even sharing our meals we still took half our food away with us. But we also saved room for dessert! The apple crumble was good, but the next night we ordered the caramel and cream cheese cassata to our room and it blew the apple crumble out of the competition. Such a delightful, light dessert. And to top it all off, they have a bread bar! Everything we tried was good, but the standout was the focaccia! And with different kinds of butters to try, it was just the icing on top of an already great cake. We will definitely be going back. The end bill was a litle more than we'd usually spend but it was worth it. Great place for a date or special event. Really fantastic experience! So good we also ordered the lasagna to share in our room the next night - delish as well!

We went here and it was such a disappointment. When we arrived it was not very busy since it was before the dinner rush. The first thing I noticed was that our glasses were dirty. After ordering we talk for a bit then went to the bread bar. Unfortunately the top few plates were also dirty so we had to dig down to find clean ones. The bread bar was the highlight only because we made it ourselves and it was fun to grill the bread. When we came back to the table after no more than five minutes our food was already sitting there. My dinner was completely cold and my husband’s was barely warm. When we told our server she rolled her eyes and told us it was basically our fault for being at the bread station. She did agree to take the food back and reheat it but it still came out disappointing. I ordered the chicken parm with spaghetti and the sauce was watery and bland. The fettuccine was even worse and tasted inedible. To make it worse they missed ingredients I had specifically asked for. We took the leftovers home hoping to fix them up in our own kitchen but it was no use and we ended up throwing everything away. The bill was $70 for two meals which felt like a complete rip off especially for food and service this bad. Our server gave me the worst look when I did not tip but I refuse to tip for such poor service and cold food. I miss the days when tips were earned and not just expected. I do not understand how this place has so many good reviews because our experience was terrible from start to finish.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn on Blackfoot Trail, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the warm welcome from the front desk staff set the tone for an enjoyable visit.

The lobby was bright and inviting, with modern decor that instantly made me feel at home. My room was immaculate, spacious, and well-appointed, featuring a comfortable bed, a clean and stylish bathroom, and all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. The attention to detail was evident, from the plush pillows to the convenient coffee maker—perfect for those early mornings!

One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast. The variety was impressive, with options ranging from fresh fruit and pastries to made-to-order hot items. It was the perfect start to my day, and the friendly staff made the experience even better.

The location of the Holiday Inn is also a huge plus. It’s conveniently situated near major highways, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, you’ll find that many attractions and dining options are just a short drive away.

I also appreciated the hotel’s amenities, including the fitness center and indoor pool, which provided a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. The atmosphere was always clean and well-maintained, reflecting the high standards of the hotel.

Overall, my experience at the Holiday Inn on Blackfoot Trail was fantastic. The combination of excellent customer service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location truly set it apart. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I can’t wait to return!

Zak & Sam were freaking amazing and the...
