Edit: Came here on Monday, June 19th at 8:51pm for a small celebratory dinner. Waited until 9:08 to be seated, as no one was paying attention to the front entrance. Moved to stand between the lounge and dining room to be seen, no staff in sight to be seen. Another person ended up getting sick of waiting and just went in and sat at the unattended bar. We were about to leave, having been waiting for quite a while when the hostess finally came to the front. She didn’t apologize for the wait - which whatever, but it would’ve nice.
She asked us if we wanted to sit in the lounge or the dining room - I said lounge. She asked of if we were over 18 and had IDs - which is totally fine. My boyfriend said we were both eighteen. And I corrected him as we gave her our IDs to exam, I said “over eighteen babe, you’re making us seem like little kids”. The hostess interjected in a rude tone “it’s procedure, thanks.” I didn’t reply because it was unnecessarily rude. First of all I hadn’t been speaking to her, second of all I didn’t have a problem with it because why would I?
She drops us off at the table and immediately goes outside to use Snapchat on her phone. She spent two mins taking selfies outside and sending them to friends, before going back inside. Guess I know why she wasn’t being very attentive to her job if she’s sneaking out to Snapchat ppl. The two mins definitely doesn’t seem long enough to have been a break, and if it were a break why was she being so sneaky about the phone use?
The bartender ended up serving us. She seemed pretty unfriendly, maybe she was having a bad day or something? But I honestly felt very uncomfortable sitting at the table being treated so poorly by the staff the whole evening.
The bartender the only person waiting on the four tables in the lounge disappeared for 5-10 mins. A woman from the dining area came and stood at the bar for about 5 minutes. She started talking to a table full of men after they made a comment about how long she’d been standing there waiting. I overheard her say that she had ordered a glass of wine about half an hour ago and wanted the wine or to have it taken off her bill.
Bartender comes back nonchalantly and doesn’t seem to care how long the lady had been waiting.
Used to come here somewhat often and order from this location from time to time because I liked the dessert here and service was decent enough due to managers stepping in. But there are other locations. I won’t be coming back here. Thanks for ruining my one year anniversary. Should’ve listened to him when he suggested...

I used to love Moxies. Naturally, as all things do, the menu has completely changed, and I genuinely had a hard time finding something that sounded appealing to me. I finally settled on their crispy chicken burger, and asked them to hold the hot sauce (which they did).
What they brought out to me was... interesting. The sweet potato fries were perfect, but the burger contained this practically rock hard mass of extremely overcooked fried chicken. The waitress came by about five minutes later and asked the table (of six) what we thought of the food, but didn't give us much time to respond (and was off to my left, and behind me) and then just darted off. My feedback was not relayed (I didn't even get to speak), and someone else in my group went over to tell them.
The waitress came back and I told her that it was too crispy, and I snapped off a piece of the chicken/breading to demonstrate. It was noticeably more difficult to break off a piece than you'd expect, and made an audible cracking noise. Unconvinced, she asked me to take the top off the burger, and she proceeded to tell me "this is just how we cook it" but said she'd bring me another. She also asked me if I wanted it off the bill, but I was hopeful they'd do better, so I didn't opt for that. What they brought out a few minutes later was close to the same as the original, and barely any better. She proceeded to tell me "we have to cook it to a certain temperature" as an explanation. This is demonstrably false and reflects poorly on this restaurant. You don't need to go far to find restaurants such as Cactus Club or Popeye's to see how ridiculous this claim truly is. They would be embarrassed if they ever made crispy chicken this poorly. She again asked me if I wanted it off the bill, but I said no. I probably should have said yes.
I would have rated them better if not for this. The way they "cooked" this crispy chicken burger was unacceptable and barely edible, and yet they just rationalized it and told me that this is fine. It's not.
I also noticed the entire restaurant smelled like a sewage backup, which may not have been their fault, but it was truly gross. I'm not even sure how we were able to...
