Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Calgary

If I could rate this garbage business any lower I would.. the food was absolutely horrible.. the chicken was gross and rubbery and even by their skimpy measured standards they even did below that skimping on toppings and measurements.. after trying and wanting to return it immediately they give us the run around and offer a free pizza who wants free of something that’s terrible.. we just wanted our refund, get the run around for two days promised our refund by head office only to have the owner of franchise restaurant say no only some free pizza or credit to a place we would never eat at again… after head office tells us basically customers Dnt matter, our franchisee does and makes the decision.. so we go to papa johns to address the issue and ask for the owners information and record the interaction with the so called manager Ahmad, am told to get out and he will call the police and would sue me if I was recording.. no swearing no threatening just asked for owners contact info and when talked about how bad our order was, his defence was ‘ the chicken already comes cooked(so basically they just microwave the chicken is what he’s saying.. the taste was horribly bland and we tried to return literally the entire order, weren’t trying to get free anything just wanted no part of how disgusting that food was… and after now reading the reviews I shouldn’t be surprised at all… we will be contacting BBB and other consumer reports like the local news, as we recorded all phone calls and interactions with this business… Unless u are sure and absolutey positive that’s what u want to eat DO NOT TRY THIS FOOD ESPECIALLY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!! Absolutely shameful service. Our delivery order showed on the app as "on the way" for a half hour, even though the location is only about 5 minutes from our house. When I called to ask for an update, I was told the order was placed for pickup. I had an order confirmation showing the order was in fact placed for delivery with the added delivery charge. After some back and forth, I had told them I would come and pick up our order but wanted the pizzas to be made fresh as they would be over 45 minutes old by the time we got to the store and the man on the phone obliged. When we got to the store, they handed us the 45 minute old and completely cold pizzas. I asked again for the pizzas to be made fresh and they refused. I also asked for a refund on the large tip we gave them for what was supposed to be delivery, and they refused that as well. It's absolutely mind blowing that the manager was wholeheartedly content with us walking out with completely cold pizzas and not offering any sort of customer service. I can't think of a time I have had an experience this truly mind blowing...we were told no and that we were wrong countless times which was the furthest thing from the truth. Never again Papa John's, especially...

Called for pick up on Saturday, around 10:50pm. Person who picked up was insanely rude, and was very short with me. I asked if there were any pick up specials and the person rudely said no, so I went ahead and ordered a medium Canadian pizza. The total after was about $19 after rounding up. I hung up, and then my boyfriend and I decided we can get cheaper pizza elsewhere, and called back 30 seconds later to cancel our order. The same gentleman answered, and I told him I had just ordered the Canadian pizza and wanted to cancel the order. He literally just hung up the phone without saying anything or asking why. I'm sorry but you work in the food industry and half of your job is customer service. That was possibly the rudest customer service I have ever received from beginning to end. I understand I probably shouldnt have placed the order in the beginning, but this is your job. Your job is to answer calls. At least I called before you started making the pizza. Owners should evaluate their employees' customer service because I will go out of my way to not order from this papa...
