This Pizza Hut location is Delivery/Carryout only, so I will be reviewing it as much. I’ve ordered from here a few times now as it’s the closest location to my house, but if you’re in the SW it’s also a pretty convenient location for anyone as it’s right on the SW corner of Southland and Elbow in the “Southland Corner” shopping plaza. This Plaza isn’t overly busy other than the Tim Hortons, so parking isn’t a problem for carryout orders.
The business itself has full Pizza Hut food/drink offerings, as I said above we’ve ordered from here quite a few times both for delivery and carryout, and honestly we’ve yet to have an issue. Both the kitchen and drivers are quick and efficient, and you usually get your order well ahead of schedule in my experience. A little bit of that under promise and over deliver I guess? Haven’t dealt with anyone rude here yet, both drivers and in-store associates have always been kind and hard working, not much more I could ask for :). They’re open until 1am on Friday/Saturday as well which is great for any late night cravings.
If you walk-in to the store for carryout you’ll see they have a queue system displayed on a TV that show’s the status/place of your order in relation to other orders, so that’s cool. Also if you order online you’ll be provided a confirmation and estimated time for your order completion (to be delivered or picked-up). One thing that would be nice is if their website broke down the store details more and indicated if it was a full dine-in restaurant or just a delivery/carryout location. I know as a regular customer that you can’t dine-in here, but to others in may not be obvious by just checking online. I thought this use to be indicated/clear online, but at the time of the review it’s absent. Other than that, no real complaints, this location delivers all the Pizza Hut offerings right on expectation. So even though it’s just a Pizza Hut I have no reason to dock this location any points because it is what it’s...
Read moreThis place is the worst Pizza Hut I've ever been to. I order online, due to me having limited minutes on my calls, and they love to try and hike up the bill or "forgetting" I ordered a deal, along with just bad quality pizza that's cheese is warm, but yet extremely hard and chewy. Gag. I would show the delivery guy the actual receipt, that was emailed to me, when they overcharged me (once it's been over $15) he would become very rude and storm off with the pizzas. I've had to call the manager on several occasions. He would never give an actual explanation, which I would have been accepting of, but instead he always becomes snarky and then act like he's doing me an amazing favour for changing the bill to what it should actually be.
Today I ordered a deal of 2 large pizzas, one 50% off. The pizzas we're a pathetic size, upon measuring them with tape cut as tlhough some half blind elderly person was forced by gun point to cut the damned pizzas. And the delivery charge magically went up in price.
When I asked why the delivery man said that their prices were different from online. I understand that but why on earth are they still on the online ordering? It should at least have a big red label under its name online that just says "WARNING"
You are only as strong as your weakest link, and this chain restaurant is being brought down significantly by this store. They are making a mockery of Pizza Hut. They should be forced to change its name to Pizza Hurl and become their own...
Read moreTL:DR - pizzahut has an issue with their online order system that doesn’t show all additional charge selections so customers pay for extras that aren’t relayed to the restaurant and thus not provided. Customer service was unprofessional and refused to send an itemized receipt or any proof of the explanation given.
I don’t even know what to say. After 30 minutes of back and forth with customer service, we ended with the guy trying to mansplain tax to me. (Tax is not part of the subtotal, the issue I explained was with the subtotal and why I was charged an extra $3 if the option was not reflected on my receipt but the subtotal increased by $3) his answer was that that was tax (which is still an issue because that would mean I was charged for tax twice as it was present in my final total and itemized.
Long story short, we ordered the triple treat box and selected the additional $3.00 stuffed crust option on one of the pizzas. That was reflected in the total, but not itemized on the receipt and when we received the pizza (shocker) it didn’t have stuffed crust. The fact that the tracker became unavailable and the driver was delayed by 9 minutes was understandable. I also do not fault the restaurant for not added the stuffed crust because the system did not show it on either end. The fact that customer service would not listen to what I was explaining and then refused to send me an itemized receipt outlining the additional charges and what they were attributed to was...
