It's a shame that a restaurant with such nice food has a assistant manager who is so rude, bold and haughty with customers, her name is Johandri. Tonight I went to eat at this restaurant, the girl who helped me on the line was very friendly as I have always received the attention, but at the time of paying, that lady who is the assistant manager of the restaurant appeared, I told her that I had in mind The Costa Vida app had a balance in favor and that in the new application I could not download it, she very rudely answered that this was not her problem and that I would send an email a person in charge. I very kindly told her that yes, then I definitely couldn't use my rewards and she came back and told me that it wasn't her responsibility. It wasn’t her problem. I don't understand why that lady responds angrily to clients if the rest of us are just requesting a service and an great moment. This lady's way of responding is super rude and blunt. I suggested that in these cases that the app was not working, Costa vida should give the client a solution and again she came back and rudely replied that this was not her problem and that I should complain to Costa vida. I told her that she was being rude to us and she made fun of us and she told us yes, yes, I'm rude and what! What a shame that Costa Vida has an assistant manager who is so rude to customers. I only left them to evaluate why Costa vida lost customers. Read moreI usually love going to this restaurant and thought that they had their process together since covid started but boy was I wrong. We ordered online using their app and set a pick up time for 6:15 pm and got there right on time to notice many people (not being directed to socially distance) crowded in their lobby and outside. No signs to point to where to pick up orders and where to line up if you wanted to take out. Then people who were waiting for take stood around for 20 mins before figuring out that they needed to go into a different line but they should have been directed. On top of this, those same people who went into the line for take got served 30 mins before we did, even though we already paid and set our pick up time. We waited and waited and waited and no one was calling my name out so I could pick up my order. Plus the staff were not wearing masks and did not care at all about social distancing from costumers. At around 6:50 after some people in front of me were served, the lady at the till asked me to give my name and I was confused because we had waited for our name to be called. Turns out they never printed our receipt for our order and then went to go make it, which was fine. Also, there was a lot other take out containers stacked up on a non-heated counter that sat there for a good 45 minutes collecting bacteria probably at least so I was happy to see our food would be fresh. We ordered burritos and then they told us they had run out of rice! We finally walked out of there around 7 pm, with more people waiting around for their orders. It was scary because we were within a metre of people sometimes and everything seemed so chaotic! It was very sad to see a place we loved that was falling a part tonight. We initially ordered via the Skip App for pick up but decided to dine in and we were SO glad we did.
When we arrived, Ella promptly greeted us and immediately reviewed our order to ensure everything we ordered was prepared. The pick up process was quick and efficient. During the pick up process, Ella was kind and personable. She ensured we felt like valued customers even though we were just picking up a takeout order. It is clear Costa Vida (Southland) takes great pride is providing excellent customer service.
There was an extensive menu to choose from but we ultimately ordered the Beef Barbacoa Enchiladas and Grilled Chicken Enchiladas - both were absolutely delicious. The food is carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and it shows. We were so impressed with both dishes, we decided to order more food to go.
Upon ordering, we found out it was Cinco De Mayo and their Sweet Pork Enchiladas were only $8. We ordered two of these to go and have yet to try them. We are almost certain they’re going to be delicious.
Finally, as we were leaving, we were approached by the manager, Joha, who asked us about our experience. This was our first time eating at Costa Vida and we were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience.
