My lunch was ruined by the very unpleasant service. We only ordered two dishes here, and the store was small, with only three tables including us. However, the food did not come out even 40 minutes after ordering, and it wasn't even served right next to me. The customer at my table received their meal in just 15 minutes, even though they arrived much later than me. They were eating the same menu as me. I asked the server about the situation, but their response only made me angrier. They told us to wait another 15 minutes because the kitchen was busy and they were preparing our food. We are not fools. It was after 2 o'clock when there were not many customers at all and the Skip the Dish delivery person did not visit at all.Rather, the customer who ate before us at the table next to us apologized to us first. But those customers were not at fault. They understood the situation much better than the servers. That's ridiculous. They should have been honest about the situation and apologized politely, but they absolutely did not. . But the server only made the excuse that she was not at fault and that the kitchen was busy and told us to wait another 15 minutes. Read moreI ordered 3 halo-halo for takeout and literally 90% of the container is shaved ice. I paid $35 for shaved ice basically.. like a little dollop of leche flan, a half tablespoon of ube and a half a scoop of ice cream for each container. Do you think it’s right to scam your customers? Not respectable and extremely disheartening. What a waste of time and money.
Update: I see that the owner responded so I will respond why I think it’s a scam. It was because we ate for dine-in in the restaurant and ordered the halo-halo to eat in the restaurant. It was not like how it was when I ordered it for takeout. The amount of ingredients in it was proportional to the amount of shaved ice. Also, being condescending to a once paying patron will not help your case either. And yes, I am educated enough to know what inflation is.. you just want to take a jab because you can’t accept an honest review. If you think a thin layer of ingredients and just putting a lot of shaved ice in your halo-halo is okay, that’s cool. At the end of the day, it’s your business so do whatever you want. Getting upset and pulling the “let’s practice being kind” card when I was only expressing my experience with your restaurant is just weird to me. Read moreWe ordered the Spunky Palabok, Crunchy Pata, Brisket Kare Kare, Super Sisig, and Grilled Fish, and every dish had its own character.
The Spunky Palabok was especially memorable. The rice noodles soaked up a rich, seafood-flavored sauce, and the crispy ground pork added a great texture contrast that kept us going back for more😋 The Brisket Kare Kare had a thick, peanut-based sauce with a subtle seafood taste. Its texture reminded us of a smooth pumpkin soup, and it was absolutely perfect with plain rice!
The Super Sisig had a bold, fragrant aroma and a satisfying sizzle. However, it was on the oily side — partly due to the fatty pork and the added mayonnaise, which made it a bit heavy for our taste.
The Grilled Fish had good flavor and was grilled nicely without being too dry, though it was slightly hard to cut apart due to the grilling method.
⭐️But the star of the meal was definitely the Crunchy Pata! A massive portion that was super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Great value and simply delicious!
The wait for the food was a bit long, but the quality more than made up for it. Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic Filipino...
