I really wanted to give a better review than I am. I read through the various high and low reviews and readied myself for a big meal and slow service. My experience was the opposite.
I ordered the tiger prawn meal for $22.00. My meal was 300 calories worth of food: 6 medium shrimp, 3/4 of a medium potato, 3 carrots, 1 broccoli piece, and a few very small green beans. I spoke to the manager about it once I was done eating and he said his new cook should have given me 3 larger potatoes, like that would have made a big difference. I didn’t like that he said it was his cook’s fault when he was the one to bring me my food. If it wasn’t right, why serve it to me? Realizing my feedback wasn’t positive, he offered to make me something to take home with me. While I was leaving hungry, my feedback wasn’t given to get more food. I thought it was important for the manager to know that 300 calories for a main dish just isn’t enough.
Portion size aside, my food was cooked perfectly. It’s a shame that there wasn’t more of it. I went with a friend who ordered a burger. Her portion size was perfect and she said her meal was delicious.
I have high hopes for my next meal there. Their menu looks amazing. I’m going to chalk this up to a bad experience and will try them again, but do think a caution should be given so that patrons wanting a normal calorie count meal will know that this menu item isn’t the right one for them.
In terms of service, our server was great! She was present, friendly, and helpful. We didn’t wait for anything. Everything was well-timed.
One last comment, without talking to me about it, I was given 10% off my meal - a whole $2.20. For someone who was willing to give me a full meal to take home, it was an odd compensation. I appreciate the gesture but I wasn’t after compensation. I ate my meal. It was delicious. I’m happy to pay for what I chose and ate. I said something because I want to support a local business in my neighbourhood. I want to see this restaurant succeed. They definitely have potential to. I hope my next review will...
Read moreMy husband and I just finished eating at Rozzinis and we were 100% satisfied with our food! I had the veggie burger and onion rings, which, at $13 was a superior veg burger to one at earls that runs at $24! Excellent patty made in house (contains soy), so much that I had to ask my husband of it was a beef patty. It wasn’t beef, but excellent even compared to Beyond or impossible. Just getting a beyond burger combo at A&W is like $15 now. Such good value!
My husband had hot wings, an item we used to have at the previous Bobby’s Place every Wednesday and he couldn’t stop raving about them. This coming from a man who is always trying to make wings that compare to Bobby’s place after they closed.
Onion rings and zucchini sticks were fresh and tasty, definitely not from frozen. A tad greasy would be my only complaint. But I ate all of them regardless.
Our server was very nice and attentive, even comped my husband’s beer as the first one came out flat. I had a Long Island iced tea that was really good.
I love that they’ve built out a patio which appears to be dog friendly as well.
Super excited to have a good neighborhood restaurant/pub and we will be back on wing Wednesday! Hopefully they can add cauliflower wings for the non meat...

This venture started out with promise. There was hope that it would gradually take the place of the previous pub at this location. My family likes to eat here fairly often to support a local business in a convenient (walkable) location.
Unfortunately this place lacks identity. The menu is all over the place. The hope was that they would pare it down as time went on, but it continues to provide a selection of Italian, Greek, Indian and pub style food. It is tasty and not offensive, and the pizza is actually a highlight, but they need to focus on doing one thing well instead of a lot of things OK.
The service started off excellent, but has taken a huge nose dive, with the original, bubbly, and personable wait staff being replaced by blank stares and mediocrity. There is an attempt to provide some entertainment, with Karaoke and Belly Dancing (?) nights… Again pointing to a lack of cohesive identity.
Given this, we genuinely enjoy Rozzini’s, and I hope that the management can take a step back and figure some way to get this place back on track. But at this rate, I fear there will be another “For Lease” sign in its place....
