Restaurant Review: Sizzling Grill

During my recent visit to Sizzling Grill, I had the pleasure of sampling their Malai Chaap and the combination of noodles with Manchurian. Here's my detailed review of these dishes:

The Malai Chaap at Sizzling Grill is a testament to their mastery of North Indian flavors. Each piece of chaap was marinated to perfection, exuding a creamy, rich taste that lingered delightfully on the palate. The texture was tender yet slightly chewy, providing a satisfying bite. The subtle blend of spices and the creamy marinade, made with cashews and fresh cream, gave the dish a luxurious feel. The chaap was garnished with fresh herbs and accompanied by a tangy mint chutney, which complemented the creamy richness beautifully. This dish is a must-try for anyone visiting Sizzling Grill, especially for those who appreciate well-balanced flavors and exquisite presentation.

Moving on to the Indo-Chinese offering, the noodles with Manchurian was a delightful fusion experience. The noodles were perfectly cooked, neither too soft nor too firm, with a nice balance of vegetables adding crunch and freshness. The Manchurian balls, made from finely chopped vegetables, were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, coated in a tangy, slightly spicy sauce that tied the entire dish together. The sauce had the right amount of garlic and ginger, creating a robust flavor profile that wasn't overwhelming. This dish offered a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, making it a comforting yet exciting option for those who enjoy fusion cuisine.

The ambiance at Sizzling Grill was warm and inviting, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant’s ability to deliver both authentic and fusion dishes with such finesse is commendable. Whether you're a fan of traditional Indian cuisine or looking to explore fusion flavors, Sizzling Grill's menu has something to offer. The Malai Chaap and the noodles with Manchurian, in particular, stood out for their...

We had the pleasure of dining here recently, and I must say, everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality that set the tone for the rest of the evening. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant yet comfortable—perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. The lighting, music, and overall vibe created a relaxed atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Now, onto the food—absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully plated, and made with obvious care and quality ingredients. Whether it was the appetizers, main course, or dessert, everything was served fresh and at just the right temperature. You could really tell the kitchen takes pride in their craft. However, what truly made our visit memorable was the outstanding service provided by Gagan, our server. Gagan was not only friendly and professional, but also incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal. He took the time to explain menu items, offered thoughtful recommendations, and checked in on us just the right amount—never too much, never too little. His genuine kindness and attention to detail truly enhanced our evening. It's rare to find a combination of great food, welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service all in one place, but this restaurant absolutely delivers on all fronts. Special thanks again to Gagan for going above and beyond—your service really stood out and made a lasting impression! Looking forward to coming back soon and recommending this spot to friends and family. A wonderful experience from...

Yesterday I was here again and feels the same ❤️ genuinely, We recently had dinner here and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Everything about the evening was smooth, enjoyable, and above all, memorable. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere—elegant without being pretentious, and cozy without feeling cramped. It’s clearly a place that cares about the details, from the ambiance to the cleanliness, and that really sets the tone for a quality experience. The food? Absolutely delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You could taste the freshness in every bite, and the menu had a great range of options for different tastes. It’s clear the kitchen puts care and passion into what they serve. But what made the experience truly exceptional was the service—especially from Gagan, our server. Gagan was a true professional: friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. He took the time to make us feel welcome, answered all our questions about the menu, and checked in on us at just the right moments without ever making us feel rushed. It’s rare to encounter service that feels both efficient and heartfelt, but Gagan struck that perfect balance. We left not just full, but genuinely happy. It’s experiences like this that remind you how much of a difference great service can make. Huge thanks again to Gagan for making our night so enjoyable. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dine-in experience. We’ll definitely be returning soon! It takes a little time to write but she deserves...

Visited this place for dinner with my parents. The seating was very quick as it was not much crowded. This place offers East And Northwest Indian flavours. We reached their after 9pm otherwise before 8:30pm you can order buffet too. I’m not sure about that but that was told to me by the server. The menu offer both veg and non veg options, Indian Street food, Bbq, Curries, Rice, Naans, Indo Chinese food and some sweet shakes faloodas and lassi. We ordered Pani puri, Sizzling mixed bbq non-veg (the do offer veg too) and Chicken Lababdar curry with naans, salad and raita. Curry doesn’t come with any naan, you have to order then separately. Pani puri was good although the water was too salty for me. Bbq platter was okay as few things were yummy yet some were blend in taste. Chicken lababdar was nice yet not very outstanding as I have ate a better tasting one before. The highlight of the dinner were the naans and the chutneys. Naans were freshly made and piping hot. I didn’t tried anything from the indo chinese menu but will try to explore if I got a chance to visit that place again. One visit to this place is recommended to try yourself the Indian cuisine flavours. Last but not the least the server was very kind. She was helpful in suggesting me what to order as this was my first visit.

I had ordered chicken malai tikka from Sizzling for pickup, but unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. When my husband went in to pick up the order, he was given the wrong food. We didn’t realize until we got home and opened it. When I called the restaurant right away, they hung up on me the first time. I called again and there were still no apologies — instead, I was told I had to wait another 25 minutes. I then drove back to the restaurant to pick up my correct order, and again, there was no apology. To make things worse, the server, Isha, proceeded to ask me to pay for the wrong order they had given me in the first place. I had specifically asked whether I should bring the incorrect food back, but according to Alberta food safety guidelines, that is not even allowed. The audacity to ask me to pay for their mistake — after waiting another 25 minutes and making a second trip — is beyond unacceptable. This was by far the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of accountability, respect, and professionalism is shocking. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau for unethical behaviour.
