I’ve been patronizing this location since they open their doors. I’m almost there like every 2 to 3 weeks.
Food has always been good and service used to be so good.
Kudos to all your older and senior staffs. They are super, excellent have always been great, no complain.
However, on March 18, 2024, at 12.30 pm, we were treated with bad service. I actually brought 3 oversea friends for a lunch treat.
And we were treated with very, very bad experience.
We were seated at the window corner seat facing the car park.
After we got our food, we needed some extra spoons. So I waved at your NEW female employee, trying to catch her attention and asked for utensils.
Instead she rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Never coming back near our table again. My friend saw it and she had to walked up to grab utensils herself. We didn’t managed to get her name. But she’s super new, like a month or 2 months working there.
She has very big bright eyes, speak Cantonese, slim, petite (5 ft 3-4 ish inches), bun up hair, very fair almost porcelain white clear skin and always wears a black face mask. She is the only female server who wear face mask and black ones.
Was there again today, 29 March 2024, at 3.50pm. She made eye contact with me again when I was seated as I tried to seek assistance for placing order. She rolled her EYES at me again today.
She avoided serving and purposely skipped and avoided our row of tables, on the seats facing the main road. I still didn’t get to see her name tag, as she deliberately avoided serving our side.
She refilled the tea for all customers, except our table and also the table behind us and in front of us. We are all seated on the same side and row.
She walks up and down multiple times and was serving dishes from kitchen, but she just simply avoided serving our table and tables around us.
From being a regular, I know that this restaurant don’t zone their service staffs or server to work or service a particular zone.
Very disappointed with your newbie staff service. I won’t be patronizing your location again, even though you serve good food.
And I won’t be recommending this location to any customers who want to feel welcome or be treated nicely.
Service doesn’t have to be top notch but eyes rolling staff BIG NO, for me. And I don’t think any one of your paying customers deserves eye rolling treatment, from any service staff.

Here is what had happened: While waiting for the serve of our four dishes and beverage, attracting by the smell of the BBQ, we bought a pound of pork BBQ (shasiu) at the counter inside the restaurant and asked the counter whether they wanted us to pay immediately or combined with our bill. Since the answer is both is fine, we paid. At our table, during our 25 minutes waiting for the service, we sneaked at our to go box and tasted some pieces. A waitress came and asked us not to eat. When we asked why, since we have paid and waited for our dishe, she still insisted that we cannot eat there! Finally she explained there will be a four dollars charge if we eat the to go box that they sold to us. That answer shut off our appetite. What? We can pay # $120 for our lunch, why not $ 4 if they need that? Our tip with good service could be more than $4! Story did not end there. When I paid, I just reminded the waitress: next time, if you need 4$ service, please include it when you billed us but please do not shut off our appetite. Cannot imagine her aggressively verbal reaction! She almost forced me to a notice at the front counter... I told her: do you think every guest when entering the restaurants has to read that less than 2cm height notice?Then there come a very loud talk between the waitress and 2 BBQ butchers in Chinese, which I cannot understand. Do not want to spoil the appetite of other guests, we left, felt the bitter in our mouth. My suggestion to the management or owner: Please instruct your servers not to argue or talk loud to customers, whatever your policies are. If you need extra service charge for the food that you sell inside your shop??, inform us and charge us when you bill us or put a notice in each table, not at the front entrance where no guest looks at it. Read moreThe food is always pretty promising, especially the meats, and usually the dishes arrive within around 10 to 20 minutes. A lot of the time we would go to order takeout for dinner. We've also been to dine-in a couple of times, and the food tasted good.
However this time we went for lunch and we discovered that the waiter organization is pretty bad, and there are lots of chances for mishaps like the one we had today.
Basically what happened was we were in a rush, and we ordered a simple dish, and usually it came within 15 minutes. However, we waited for 30 minutes and the food never came. We even asked about it several times, but we were pushed away with "it's really busy, it will come."
We noticed that many of the people around us who got here after had already got their food. And then we heard a table beside us say "they gave us __ dish for free, I wonder why. That's pretty nice of them." And that dish that they were talking about was the exact one we ordered. So we had our doubts. We noticed that there was this one guy that gave out the food, and another person who took in orders, so they clearly both didn't realize until we waited for over 40 minutes. And then they finally covered it up with "we'll push it forwards" and we heard them talking in the back about squeezing in an emergency order -- ours. And then the food came in about 5 minutes. The meat were from unusual parts of the animal that were usually scraps.
So basically an analysis would be that they gave the dish to the wrong table, didn't realize, then tried to cover it up with a poorly-made dish. This incident was a disappointment, because the food was usually good. It caused me to be late, and also caused few...
