This new location is great! I was worried it would be too small to accommodate me and my power wheelchair. I was also concerned about how accessible the bathroom would be. This bathroom was accessibility HEAVEN!! THE best, most thought out accessible bathroom I’ve ever been in. You’d be surprised at how many times I’ve been unable to use a bathroom, close a stall door, be able to reach the sink or the soap etc. THIS bathroom has a button for an automatic door or if it’s locked the staff comes and opens it right away. Inside there is plenty of room to be able to pivot, and rails in proper logical places. The toilet is a good height. Not too low to the ground. There’s even an emergency help call button. There’s room under the sink for the wheelchair. The soap and water are within reach. The mirror is low enough to actually be able to look into. The garbage is reachable. There’s an exit button for automatic door opening. It was spotless. It was perfect. Whoever designed this bathroom took the time to care about what someone in a wheelchair actually needs. It felt like they cared about dignity. Respecting all customers of all abilities. It’s kind of sad how excited I was about this bathroom, but when you’ve been in so many that just fail so badly at something so basically human, it is refreshing and wonderful to feel like you were thought about. Cared about.
The food was great as well. The typical food you expect from Swiss Chalet. A yummy family dinner. Nothing extremely fancy, just good wholesome food to share with those you love for a decent price.
Our group had Shrimp and chicken: very good Quarter chicken meal: good, juicy, quite salty though. Coleslaw: excellent Fish and chips: good Poutine: good but cheese curds were cold and didn’t melt Rice pilaf: really good Double leg dinner: good Coconut cream pie: really good Canadian Sundae: good except not a fan of the fake whipped cream Caesar drink: okay Shirley Temple: good Iced Tea: good House red wine: good

Read moreThere were 3 of us, my friends bday. Never had such horribke service. Food was just okay, fries dried out almost burnt, skinny little end pieces. Tables around us seated after us were served and waited on and even received their meals first. Families there with young boys that yelled, screamed and were horribly behaved made so much moise you couldnt even talk across your own table. People beside us even apologised for getting their meal s first and she even screwed them up. O ne of us asked for a take home box for her ribs and she threw it at her as she went by. She even tried to put a tip on our bills. We told her to take it off. The only good thing abou the evening were our drinks and the young girl at the front who called us a taxi and even walked us out. Our birthday girl even rreported to the manager and all she wld say is i will have a talk with her. WRONG! We were not looking for freebies, we were looking for soneone who cared to maybe offer an apology. This went on last night Feb. 8th. Our waitress spent a long time visiting with one of the tables near us that came in long after us and she fell all over them. As the manager when confronted with all this you also were disappointing. Never appeared at our table. There were three of us . Never took the time to come to say anything. Will not be back and your extablishment will mot be recommended. Pease do NOT offer me a questionaire to fill out.i have said it all here, i am done. Great way to treat way to treat what use to be regular customers. Shame on...

No later the half a minute our sever welcome us and made my friend and myself individually acknowledging that there were two of us here you often don't get that's Ort of engagement now a days, quickly asked if we want a beverage and made a suggestion of coffee it being a cold day how ever we went for some adult beverages instead so with a flourish she was off and reappeared promptly with our choices knowing which one each of us had ordered. Thank ask if both of were ready to order thinking she must of ready my mind knowing I was hungry she asked me first land asked my Dining companion for he decision offering some suggestions Order Taken I very impressed with her knowledge of the menu items with my guest being a very picky eater. She was able to answer any query he had and was extremely professional. Then in what seemed a matter of a few short minutes our food was delivered promptly hot and fresh which very nice. The both of us tied into our food which tasted like it was prepared just for us, as quickly as it arrived we were finished and off to our next adventure Service was out standing and the quality of the food was a reminder of some I have come to know and love thur out the years !
