Pretty much the best viet in the city. I'm opinionated and I look for reasons not to like a thing or consider if I'm being swindled or whatever, but this place still hasn't given me any. It's just great every time. it has it's own parking lot which is free and there are spots always available. we come here usually at dinner time, and there's still never any delays to order or receiving our food. The service is always fantastic. They remember our names and our orders and smile when they see us. The food comes to us quickly and is always hot. The takeout packaging is well done. Soups transfer in the car flawlessly (i was actually worried about this the first time, but they know what they are doing). They take care to package the food properly, which I appreciate. The sate beef vermicelli is the best Ive had in Calgary and the portion is appropriate for the cost. the beef has nice heat and is peanut-y without going overboard. the salad is always fresh. the noodles are nice and long and easy to eat with chopsticks, a touch sticky, and absorb the sauce and other flavors well. Very filling. The subs are pretty standard - it's hard to screw up a viet sub after all - good quality, lots of meat, carrot, cilantro, cukes. They do not put cheese on them (which is a good thing). Cheese on a viet sub is nasty, so im glad they dont do that. I can easily eat two of these which is good because they have a special on subs and can usually bogo, so win win. The best thing on the menu though is the soup. Their Pho is easily the best I've had in the city and I often look forward to going back. It's well balanced between fishy and spicy without being too forward on either. It's well balanced, the noodles come in a separate container so that you can add as much or as little as you want, and they dont go all limp and slimy in transit. great attention to detail there on their part. the noods are delicious and there's just enough of all the veggies in there. i love the bean sprouts, always crispy and fresh! I've come here close to 20 times in the past year and I haven't had bad service or a bad meal yet. I always look forward to...
Read moreOur experience was going well and this was our third time ordering from here. We usually get takeout. We received a coupon for buy 2 get 1 free, and decided to use it. At the beginning of ordering, our server said if we both didnt want soup, we could have one there and take the free one home. We both decided to get soup. I probably had 2/3 left as I’m a light eater, so we asked for takeaway containers. Our server then informed us it’s $2 for us to get the containers, but brought only one and then said it was $2/container. They were the cheapest styrofoam containers and they would rather throw out 2/3 of a meal in the trash then have a return customer. The server said he was upset he had to charge this too but it’s company policy. They blamed it on Vietnamese people abusing the deal… but if you offer a coupon and people bought two full priced, they aren’t abusing it, they are just using the offer you advertise. Just a sad and disappointing way to run a business, they use their coupons to bring you in and then try to charge you for the usual common customer service items. When our server offered for us to take one home when we ordered, was he going to charge me $2 then too?! We won’t be supporting this...
Read moreThis is the best pho restaurant in the hood. Big portion so you don't have to look for food after walking out. Lots of meat. Would be nice to have more veggies, I should have ask for more. Waitress was nice. Reasonable price, although they have promotions right now, not sure for how long. I am glad I went in, as I saw the place empty, but then we might have come on non rush hours, but then you don't have to worry about covid19 if the place is not too busy. This Pandemic, you want to eat at not too busy place. I would give this place 4 stars, but since not too crowded, I will give a bonus star, so 5 stars. Give it a try, you'll be suprise. Money back guarantee. You give me money first, and if you don't like, I will...
