After a long tiring day at work and before a trip to a local temple, I found myself craving a bite to eat. As I entered Marlborough Mall I was confronted with a variety of different choices on where to take my business. As I walked around having not found a desirable vegetarian option, I spotted this establishment and my heart skipped a beat. I knew that what I was craving was not only food, but comfort and that both of these needs would be met here. I immediately decided that this was where I needed to eat, for a dollar spent on unsatisfactory food is a dollar wasted. I am not a man to waste money frivolously. I proceeded to order a falafel wrap and made some light but pleasant conversation with who I imagine is the owner, Anai. Upon sinking my teeth into the crisp but not overly firm wrap, my soul felt comfort and love. The falafel was incredibly seasoned (I spoke with Anai after, he uses 16 different spices in the recipe whereas other restaurants often use only 3 or 4, even importing certain spices from Damascus), the vegetables were fresh, the sauces were flavourful but not overpowering. I finished this meal feeling not only satisfied but accomplished, this wasn’t not just another run of the mill meal eaten, but one experienced. If you are downtrodden, stumbling around in the dark looking for some smidgen of hope in this world, look for the light emanated by the bright red sign of Damas Cafe. Thank you for the wonderful meal and for the friendly...

I recently visited Damas Cafe located in the food court of Marlborough Mall, and I was thoroughly impressed! Despite being in a bustling mall setting, this café offers a delightful escape with its delicious offerings.

The highlight of my meal was definitely the beef shawarma. It was incredibly flavorful, tender, and expertly seasoned. Each bite was a treat, complemented perfectly by a rich garlic sauce that enhanced the overall experience. It’s clear that the chef takes great care in preparing this dish.

Speaking of the chef, he was exceptionally friendly and approachable. His passion for the food shines through in every interaction, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying the beef shawarma if you find yourself at Damas Cafe—it’s a standout dish that shouldn't be missed!

Overall, Damas Cafe is a hidden gem in the Marlborough Mall food court. With exceptional food and a welcoming atmosphere, it's definitely worth a stop next time you’re...

Damas Cafe is a hidden gem tucked in the Marlborough Mall food court. I had the beef kebab platter. The meat was tender, juicy, well seasoned, and topped with parsley and chopped red onion. The salad included radishes, orange bell peppers, pickled vegetables, and pita chips. The rice, hummus, and garlic sauce were standard. The platter doesn't come with pita or potatoes, which I am completely fine with, since it includes plenty of rice. If you request the platter with two kebabs, it comes out to just under $17 before tax (a few dollars cheaper than the equivalent dish at Jerusalem Shawarma) and includes enough food to satisfy the vast majority of appetites. The cafe also serves specialty Syrian dishes for 4-7$, which I will be coming back to try.

First Donair experience of my life. This was a fantastic experience. From the moment we walked up to the counter, the food preparation area was clean and presentable. The staff member was so friendly and knowledgeable and efficient. Took our order quickly and ensured we had everything we needed, including a free sweet treat “Baklava” for my husbands birthday. The Donair was juicy and well seasoned. Absolutely delicious Kibbeh. Perfectly seasoned, great texture and so flavorful. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for Mediterranean cuisine that is truly authentic. Hands down, some of the best food I've had recently.
