It's hard to find any faults in my dining experience at TiNi. Service was fine and the food was delicious. I came in after the dinner rush, only 7 other tables seated. They had my order within 6 minutes and my food took another 15 minutes after that. (If that's slow for you, avoid any sit down restaurant). I wanted to try two soups, so I ordered the cliche yet popular special noodle soup and the well reviewed peanut sate soup. The pho broth was rich and complex. Very different from the other options in nearby communities, but not in a bad way. If you find yourself adding hoisin and sriracha to your oho broths everywhere else, you might just find that this broth has the depth to keep you interested. A little chili oil and it was perfect. The meat portion was sufficient, although I would normally prefer for a thicker later or rare beef on top to stir in myself. Noodles had perfect chew. Even after I was full I went back for another taste, it was pretty dark good. The peanut sate is hearty. Broth thick like stew. Flavor punches you in the mouth. Like an umami bomb in your mouth. When they say peanut, they mean it. Delicious. I don't think I could eat an entire bowl of this though, it's that rich! Great portions, the thick broth allowed the rare meat to stay on top and not precook as the server walked it to my table. A small amount of greens and tomato were in the soup to cut through the thickness... And they were appreciated. After trying those two I was stuffed, no chance to try another dish. But I'll be back.

Super disappointing that I have to write this. I called last Sunday (Oct 30). I called at 4:07 pm and my order was rang in at 4:09. I ask the girl how long. She said 25 mins tops. I show up at 4:30. A few minutes early. I tell the girl at the from I’m here for my food. She said it will be just a few minutes which is perfect because I had my 19 month old with me. 5 pm I finally get my food and leave. They totally forgot to start my order and wouldn’t fess up. No reason or explanation about what happened. They ignored me and acted as if I wasn’t there. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. But when a skip the dishes driver came in they were on that person so fast asking to Help. Yet for me when I kept trying to get their Attention I was ignored. I asked again at 445 what was going on and no one seemed to know what was going on. Then the girl who packed my order tossed it across the counter where they put the take out food. It just all left a very bad taste in my mouth and pushed me to never come back here. The food is okay here. If you live in the area try Pho Chu The or Pho Hoan Pasteur in Mahogany. Food is actually way better and you are treated like a human. I also sent an email to the restaurant that evening and it’s almost been a week with no response. Good to know you take you customers seriously. Seriously support better restaurants!

I called around 8:20 PM to place a pickup order and informed the person on the phone that I would be picking it up around 8:55 PM or exactly 9 PM, as we were on our way back to Calgary. He insisted I pick it up by 8:50 PM, even though the restaurant closes at 9 PM. When I arrived at 8:55 PM, there were still many customers dining in. However, my order was incorrect — I ordered a medium size, but they gave me a large. When I mentioned the mistake, the staff insisted I had ordered a large, which was frustrating. During the call, he even struggled to get my phone number right, making me repeat it 10 times, confusing “587” with “887,” despite me speaking slowly and clearly. He never repeated my order back to confirm it, which could have avoided this mix-up. I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for a long time because it’s close to my area, but the service quality has been declining. The last time we dined in, we waited 45 minutes for our food, only to receive cold spring rolls. It’s disappointing to see this level of service from a place I used to enjoy. I hope improvements are made soon.

We would like to share our bad experience with this location. We do dine here once a month and the food is really great, no questions about it but the service and the person taking the order has this "owner attitude". My husband, cousin and I went into the restaurant Sunday night to get some pork chop and 12 Tini spring roll. The lady who took our order whose name is VY repeated the order and confirmed. We waited for 20 mins for the order. We were kinda in a hurry that night, so we decided to go home right away and upon opening the order, we noticed that there were only 4 spring rolls and those are the regular once, not the Tini once. My husband called the store and that lady named VY answered and was very rude. She does not want to listen, kept on interrupting my husband. When asked why they gave him regular spring rolls, where in fact she repeated the order, she said " It is okay, they are of the same price anyway!". We cannot believe what we heardThis is the 3rd time she messed up our orders and the same line of reasoning is being said!!!

As the person in charge of getting orders, I believe you have to be attentive with what the customers are saying and ordering. You must write down "correctly" what they want. And in dealing with customers you should be apologetic and resolve the issue right away. Arguing and making comments like this does not make good for the restaurant. Even if the food served is good, the way customers are treated will leave a lasting impact to the success of the business. I am calling out to the owners to please RE-TRAIN and let her do proper etiquette courses on how to be an effective and efficient CSR for the restaurant. Because if you keep her at the front and nothing is done about her attitude, then you are just gonna lose a very loyal customer...

This is the spot for Banh Mi. Went for the first time today. Checked the prices before placing my order over the phone. Reasonable, especially since they give you a can of soda included in the price. Now, anyone who knows Viet sub v.s. Subway has criteria. Authentic sauce, fresh veg, spice from the ingredients and stuffed with meat. Check-Check & Check. I've had some sad Banh Mi and this wasn't it. If you know about Banh Mi then you know about crusty baguette. You love it. You want it. The bread here was a little more on the softer side but still crusty. 100% in my lane. I would have preferred it more crusty because I'm not used to perfect. The length: This sandwich was full sized. I was wondering what to do about supper before I ordered my sandwich. I was not wondering after because supper was going to be the rest of this big ol' sammich. This wasn't some 9" throw the rest away sandwich. This was leftover portion sized. So enamored I am by this sub I almost forgot to comment on the restaurant itself. When I opened the door I closed it because I thought I was in the wrong place. It looks like some high end cafe. It's called Tini but it's not Tiny. Clean, modern, bright, chic and spacious. I walked around the building looking for it because I didn't think this was the place. But it was, and for you sit down patrons you are in for an enjoyable experience. Service was prompt too. They quoted me the standard 15 minutes and I know I got there well before then and my sub was waiting for me. I tried Noodle Box across the street, and they was good. Maybe not the $18 for a bowl of noodles, bean sprouts and a couple pieces of meat they charge but I don't entirely regret my lunch there. If you want the value you pay to be reflected in seasoned meat though you'll want to...

Food is delicious (however the Vietnamese cold pressed coffee was the worst I've ever had! Tasted like burnt instant coffee), restaurant is fresh and new, but the service is HORRENDOUS!!! Have been here twice now, and the second visit was worse than the first. Took forever to get our food, and both times there couldn't have been more than ten tables occupied. Food was literally dropped on our table, and you don't see your server again. Had to get up to go ask for another glass of water at the bar, then when we were finished, tried for almost 30mins to flag someone down (our server was still nowhere to be found) to get a takeout box and our bill, the person came back with a box and again, literally threw it on the table and walked away, didn't bring our bill as requested. 10mins more of flagging someone down again, they give us the bill and tell us to go up front to pay, when other tables are paying with mobile debit machines. I will not be going back here for a while until they can step up their service. There are more Vietnamese restaurants in this city than fast food restaurants, and I've never been to one as slow, and with as poor service as this one. Looking around the room, you could see many agitated customers with the same concerns, and I'm sure they too will be going around the corner to the next restaurant if this is the service they continue to provide. Have a feeling this establishment won't be around long! Good luck to them! Hope it improves! Side note: they have Lemongrass Chicken stirfry, and Lemongrass Beef Vermicelli, but for some reason won't make you Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli. Charge for a substitute, but again back to customer service, don't refuse to make somebody something that every other Vietnamese...
