I went here for the beef donair. The gentleman serving me informed that anything other than lettuce, tomatoes and onion is 1$ charge. Also, extra donair sauce on the wrap is 35 cent charge. The donair I received was extremely tiny, approximately 1/3 the size of any other donair I have ever bought and almost no donair meat in the wrap. Upon opening I saw that the top half of the donair had no meat, only the pita bread. Very small size compared to King of Shawarma and Shawarma King. I frequent many donair places in Calgary and I won't be going back here. The man also seemed to have disdain for me and provided very uncomfortable customer service. For 10$ I can get a donair the size of my arm with all the fixings, no extra charge, and the service is wonderful. Why would I ever go here?
A little bit of respect and generosity goes a long way for a business. If he had not charged 35 cents for donair sauce I would absolutely return here. It's the principle...

Weighting each gram of the meat at front of you to make sure you re not receiving to much is not something you see very often in Calgary anymore. Also multiple times I got 'a look' for not tipping take out food. (I believe it's a personal choice especially when you are not receiving any service rather than the sandwich you already pay for). This happened few times and each time made me feel just wrong about the whole experience. Will not return. Served wrap had almost dry chicken removed from the storage container rather than freshly cut from the meat. Not sure how long it's been in a warmup drawer but definitely didnt...
Read moreBaz, the owner, is the best. You can even call him Moe. I sometimes get so excited about my donair that I accidentally call him Moe. He's good natured and just laughs it off.
If you are a regular, as is my husband, he remembers your order and even personalizes your donair. My family members love the beef donair and the bigger the better. I love the small chicken and beef. Plenty of protein (it's weighed out so that the customer is never shorted )and, for me, the garlic sauce is amazing. The sweet sauce is so delicious!!! For the hubby it's two lines of hot sauce. Try any and all of the sauces and in combination too. Super busy at the noon hour so get your butt in fifteen minutes prior to. Regardless it would be...
