This happened on Saturday, October 19th, at approximately 11:30 PM. I ordered a Bacon Deluxe in the drive-thru and ate half while driving, only to realize there was no bacon. I then drove five minutes toward my house and five minutes back, waiting behind five cars in the drive-thru while my meal got cold.
What surprised me most was that they didn’t just take my word for it. The employee insisted on taking the half-eaten burger back for “investigative purposes,” as if it were a crime scene. I’m a polite, clean-cut customer, and I even pulled up in a newer pickup truck—they could have simply trusted me. In the past, when other restaurants have made a mistake, they’ve always just let me keep the rest for the inconvenience. The burger doesn’t cost much for them to make, and the big problem for me is wasting food—I wasn’t raised that way.
At least the cashier acknowledged the mistake after handing me the new burger, which I appreciated. However, the cook’s behavior made the situation worse. She walked up behind the cashier while I was speaking, and her expression clearly said, “Why is this guy complaining?”—as if I were the problem. It felt unnecessary and unprofessional.
After all the driving, waiting in line, and my meal getting cold, simply remaking the burger and letting me keep the rest of the original would have been reasonable. Come on—what do you think I’m going to do, go through all this just to scam Wendy’s for half a burger? Give me a break.
On top of this, it seems like every time I go, I can’t order through the app to save money because it’s always down, which just adds to the...
Read moreI went through the drive thru the other day and ordered a medium fry. Upon exiting the drive thru I reach into an overly greasy paper bag, to grab a fry and put it in my mouth. Instantly I regret buying them. The grease explodes in my mouth, the fries quality was poor and full of salt. I look into the bag at the rest of the fries. They were brown from the dirty oil (fries should be golden brown) and had black around the edges which leads me to think they serve customers potatoes which are past their expiry. I parked my car and walked in to ask for my money which I was rudely denied and I was told it was against company policy. Which I've never heard. She offered to make something else which I wasn't interested in because if that's how my fries looked how would the rest of the food be served. I demanded my money back otherwise I'd call head office and she kept denying a refund.
After arguing for my money back she finally ran off to the back to ask a manager if she could refund me. To which she gave me change even though I paid with debit.
I'll never return to this location due to this poor experience, and I will be passing this info along to head office, and quiet...
Read moreWhat I am about to share is so upsetting because there are 2 different mangers combined in one establishment ( Wendy's and Tim Hortons) a family fast-food restaurant, and none of them has taken upon themselves to get the issue of the bathroom and baby changer fixed this is a huge liability it my opinion, and the fact that someone has posted about the same issue 5 months ago today July 14, 2024 is not okay, I had to change my son pooped diaper and instead found a baby change that was partly unhinged from the wall with broken straps and it was so inclined like a slide when adding any weight to it, I had to go to the YMCA to go change my son and it was so nice and clean and, when I finally came back to Wendy's I came to a cold coffee and breakfast, they were nice enough to replace my coffee, but this issue is not going to go away but sadly it looks like it will be ignored again. Suggestion please fix bathroom and keep it clean and importantly have a key for customers to ask for access, I know not everyone who comes in respect the property this could...
