What can I say about this location other than the most unprofessional and shady experience I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant. If I could give negative stars I would.
Being in a rush I entered this place on Tuesday Nov 28, 2023 around 7:30PM with my fiancé to find the place covered in smoke, and with only 2 staff working and only 1 customer. Even though it was smoky we decided to order as we were super hungry. When we went to go pay, they said the debit machine wasn’t working right and even though the transaction went through on my phone and in my bank account, they made me tap my card again, as it didn’t appear on their system. After refusing to tap my card again, and showing the staff member Soniya it was paid from my bank she said I’d have to pay again and I’d be automatically refunded in two days.
Soniya took down my information and assured me I’d have my money back ($29) in two days. The cold chicken sandwich and chicken strips took forever and the store was out of paper towel. It’s a shame that such a new store is so poorly run. It’s been two days and I called the store and Soniya tells me that the money will be refunded now in 5 days. Why is it taking 5 days to reverse a debit transaction. After calling twice I keep getting the run around. The store probably hoped I’d forget about my $29. After driving all the way from Waterloo after being fed up, and the staff member Soniya stating she would call me back numerous times, which she never did, I finally got my money back. This location is full of incompetent, dishonest and disingenuous staff. They couldn’t even bother to accommodate the customer by calling me back or refunding me right away, let alone even trying to give me something for the inconvenience after the fact.
If you want to get scammed, go to this location. Who knows how many people have been falsely charged by this debit terminal. I shouldn’t have to call the store and go back this many times for an issue with their debit machine and pos system. I think that a reasonable assumption. That would be 4 wings, 4 upper breasts (the ribs section), 4 lower breasts (the tenderloin section), 4 thighs and 4 drumsticks. Well this restaurant doesn't think that. I got 7 thighs, 6 wings, 6 drumsticks and 1 upper breast. So my 20 piece bucket I got 10% white meat and 90% dark meat. Even KFC would give you more white pieces than that. That restaurant can keep their buckets. I’ll never go back to that restaurant again. The chicken was totally under seasoned. There should be zero star options, because really they aren’t even one star. These restaurants think that their customers are stupid. The manager was walking around with her hands in her pockets and a clueless look on her face. All the staff were wandering the store not doing anything to move customers thru the store. Cleaning instead of making food. Finally got my order 45 mins after ordering. Missing items that I had to go back in for and also missing all my dips as they said they didn’t have them.
