I generally have positive experiences at this location, and I truly appreciate the consistent quality and friendliness of the staff. However, I wanted to share some feedback from this past Sunday that I hope will be taken in the spirit of constructive appreciation.
During my visit, I waited in line as usual, which I understand can sometimes be busy. What stood out to me was that the staff were gathered in one corner of the store, engaging in conversations in a language other than English. While I fully respect their right to speak with each other and understand that staff need breaks too, I believe that during busy times, guest service should be a priority.
Despite this, I want to highlight a wonderful moment that truly made my day. A kind baker with glasses—whose name I didn’t catch—noticed our wait and kindly called for assistance from other staff. She then surprised me with a freshly made donut from the back, served with a warm smile, and wished me an amazing day. Her genuine kindness and enthusiasm left a lasting impression, and because of her, I will definitely be returning to this location.
I also attempted to thank her in person later that evening, but she had already left. Staff told me her name was Olivia. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Olivia, who was unaware that my husband had recently passed. Her kindness and caring attitude meant more to me than I can put into words. It’s a beautiful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Thank you, Olivia, for your warmth, your kindness, and that delicious donut. Your actions made a difficult day a little brighter for me, and I hope this message reaches you. You truly deserve recognition, and I hope to see...
Read moreI was writing a thesis on how quantum Mechanics will be effected by the rise of AI in research capacities, as well as what this would say about the possibility of parallel worlds and AI being the link between them. I was a little stuck on the link between primary coding with string theory in mind when the young man named Byron working the cash register (who must have heard me muttering to myself), said "Artificial Intelligence, in its most abstract formulation, behaves not unlike a computational analog to string theory—where each decision boundary and weight adjustment maps onto a higher-dimensional manifold. Just as strings vibrate across eleven dimensions in M-theory, neural networks resonate within latent spaces whose topologies may be as rich and folded as Calabi–Yau manifolds. In this view, intelligence—natural or synthetic—is less a process and more a geometry." He was right and it really changed some of my thoughts on the topic. Thank Byron. ALSO he gave a great drink recommendation, tipped...
Read moreEven though it is only take out, it is still sooo slow. I remember a few years back coming to this Tim Hortons when it was in original place, there were ladies that worked there, Nicole, Jessica and Tracey and it was friendly and quick but they still made you feel welcome. Now it’s literally a job. They don’t seem to enjoy it. If you don’t want to deal with people, get out of customer service. The food is now mediocre and the coffee is not always hot. I have had to ask them twice to remake my coffee because it was cold. I ordered a candy cane hot chocolate with whipped cream. I said there was no whipped cream and they advised me it was melted already. I really don’t like coming here but when you’re stuck at CMH, it’s the best you can do as they understandably don’t want people running in and out for coffees. They need...
