Pita Hut — Restaurant in Cambridge

I ordered two shawarma poutines at around 6pm and they said it would arrive in 20 miniutes, 20 miniutes goes by and nothing yet I call them and ask for any updates and they say they are waiting for the delivery driver. an hour goes by and the food arrives. They charged me 8$ for delivery which is reasonable but when the food is an hour late that is ridiculous. The food quality was very soggy and cold and they couldn't help at all. The fries seemed very stale and they didn't put enough sauce. It was very dry. Keep in mind i'm not a very picky when it comes to food, but when they charge me 30$ for two medium poutines the food should atleast be somewhat decent or fresh.My experience here was terrible and I don't have any intentions of ordering...

With the rating and reviews for this place, I was optimistic about giving it a try. I can handle mistakes. Like the lady making the wrong platter and trying to insist I ordered something different than I did. Or forgetting to add my pita (which was included in what I ordered). I wasn't too disappointed that they didn't warm up the samosa that I got to go and it was ice cold. But when I got home and saw, the sad, sad amount of beef they put on my platter, I was downright upset. It was literally less than $2 worth of beef. The whole platter was probably less than $4 worth of food. I know food costs are going up but for $19.00 after tax and tip, I feel robbed. Avoid this place unless you want a poor customer experience or to be straight up...

The taste is great no doubt but Very Small Portion!! Ends up being too expensive for the amount of food they give. We used to go there a couple times a week and always preferred the lady (wife) as her portion sizes were better than the male (husband). I once complained about the portion size to the wife and her response was - he is skinny, he eats less so he gives less, I eat more so I give more! 🤨 The price kept going up and the portion size kept getting smaller! We stopped going the day I paid $13 for a platter with very little food inside, and ended up going to a Pizza place afterwards to kill the hunger.
