Since the royal pizza been open in castle wood i ordered from them probably 20 times in a year..they have gotten my order wrong about 15 times..they either for get my Gravy or meat sauce or salad or something!!. When i called them last week they said the manager was to busy to talk to me and said they would send my meat sauce to me right away and i had to call them again because we had the food and was waiting for our meat sauce for about 1 hour. They don't believe in making there customers happy and they never refund your money or ask you if they can send out another order like most places do!! They just says sorry and when you ask for management they tell you they are to busy to talk to you. I ordered chicken fingers and a veg pizza last night and i order the pizza for my lunch and when i opened the box to eat it it had a ton of spinich, broccoli and hardly no sauce and some pieces only had those greens in them no mushrooms, black olives like any normal veggie pizza it was only greens!! So when i called just now the girl tells me sorry only, doesn't offer to fix my problem or anything..just like last time and the times before when your spending $40 to $60 a meal and they can't get your order right and then makes you wait for an hour to get your items they forgot and your food gets cold this is BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! i gave them many chances to get my order right and they do a hand full of times is horriable!! I think ill stick to Boston Pizza from now on or even Pizza 73 AT LEAST THEY FIX THE PROBLEM. In all my life of eatting veggie pizza's i have never seen broccoli put on a pizza in my life!! And when i call to complain again just now all they say is sorry and don't offer to fix it or talk to a manager.When your a customer who spends alot of money on food from your restaurant and i give drivers $7..00 dollar tips you would think they would want to make you happy!! This is the final staw this is why i am posting this review cause i was upset last week when they told me the manager was to busy to talk to me and fix my order they got wrong!!! by the time my items came the food was cold and i live close to there it shouldn't take 1 hour to bring back something they forgot. And now this Pizza i paid $17.00 dollars for it and when i told her there are slices with hardly no sauce and a ton of spinach and broccoli and no other veggie she only said sorry!! I will not be ordering from them again!! Maybe eatting in the restaurant is good or picking up your food but delivery sucks and they don't try to make their customers happy ever!! Today is another example now i wasted again another $17.00 cause i am not gonna eat a pizza that is dry and only has spinach and broccoli and broccoli on pizza is GROSS!! To ke anyways! Now thay i read other posts i wanted to say that you can see i am not the only one who is told i can't speak to a manager their to busy to talk to me!! I have been to this location many times as it is very close to my parents' condo. I've been there for a good number of lunches and dinners.
It seems that this location is focused on the lunch rush. At lunchtime the food has been OK. Usually, the service is adequate. However, I have also been there for several dinners. The restaurant doesn't seem to have its A-Team working nights.
My last experience at this location was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a Royal Pizza.
Here it is in plain words. Among other things, we ordered a 4 topping pizza. It only came with 2 toppings. Do you know how after dropping off a meal, your server will swing by usually as you have food in your mouth and will say, "How is everything?" We didn't get one of those...
So, we all looked to see where our server was. We didn't see her. But we could see the hostess, the cook, and another server having a safety meeting near the cash register.
One of us had to go over, break up the party, and ask if someone could swing by the table.
One of the staff members came to the table. We showed the pizza to her, and she offered to get another pizza in the oven ASAP. We declined the offer. We had started on what was served, and we were hungry.
Instead of a free pizza, it seems like they came up with a new plan. When our bill came, we were offered $7.00 off of our bill (like 10% off).
My mom had a gift card from her birthday. She was excited to use her present. So, she started with the gift card first. She noted, "I think they know they blew it. It looks like they disabled the tip option..."
Yup. They blew it.
This location fails to replicate the Royal Pizza experience found at locations like Sherwood Park or the flagship in Old Strathcona.

Read moreWorst experience ever!! I’ve been going here for years and tonight was my last straw. My server was very busy and yet to my surprise the owner was yet again just standing there yelling at everyone while she was by herself and the dining room was full. Everytime I come here the owner of this location is unreal. He yelled at a cook telling him he couldn’t turn the ac on cause the power bill was too expensive for him. My server was amazing and she’s the only reason I keep coming back. I can now see why there’s a big turnover rate here. They’ve gone through soo much staff and it’s defintely thanks to him! He’s always yelling and just standing drinking his coffee in a stupid track suit(real professional). I will not be shocked when this place gets shut down because soon enough these kids that work here are gonna stand up for themselves. Till something changes I will not be going back. Also I find it very disrespectful to speak a different language infront of others who don’t cause because we have no idea what your saying and it probably isn’t nice.
