Not impressed at all. I placed a mobile order for a Mango Dragonfruit refresher before I even got to the store. When I went inside to pick it up, it wasn't ready yet. Not a problem, I want and used the washroom and came back, still nothing. That's fine, they are a bit busy. A couple minutes later a lady walks in and places an order. Time goes by and she receives her order and still no news on my order. Finally a gentleman comes up to me and apologizes that they are out of Mango juice and what else I may prefer. I couldn't believe it. I get it, places run out of stuff. I just couldn't believe how long I waited for my order to begin with and then be told they cannot make it and all they can do is offer me my money back or take the drink as is. Personally I believe this is terrible customer service. If they had apologized and offered me the modified drink along with the refund, this would have been much different. I have no idea how this new drink is going to taste, so in the end I just cancelled my order and left with nothing. I would not recommend this location...
Read moreI had a mobile order for a very specific order only to arrive there and then tell me that they had sold what I had ordered and then say yes we can do a refund only end up telling me that they cannot do a refund and it has to be a store credit so I drove 20 minutes only to find out that they sold the product i had ordered to somebody else after my order was confirmed and instead of contacting me they just told me upon arrival, I had waited a few minutes before even being asked what I was there for. If a mobile order is placed once confirmed they shouldnt sell what was ordered, I was really excited because I'd been looking for this product since it came out and now I'm not even sure if I want to continue searching after this experience. "Yes we can do a refund" I say okay that's fine I atleast get my money back then told "oh actually we can't do a refund it has to be store credit" okay then why wasn't that stated on the mobile app. Very misleading and definitely doesn't feel that a confirmed mobile order...
Read moreI don’t normally leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at the Newcastle location in Edmonton. I visited the drive-thru and placed a simple mobile order for coffee, expecting the usual quick and friendly service. Unfortunately, this time was different.
The employee who served us, Kamal, was noticeably rude when taking our order. Her tone was curt, and there was no effort to offer the typical courteous customer service Starbucks is known for. We waited over 8 minutes for a basic mobile order, which seemed unusually long given the simplicity of the item.
To make things worse, Kamal glared at us during the entire wait and never once offered a greeting, smile, or apology for the delay. The overall interaction felt hostile and uncomfortable.
Customer service matters, especially when it comes to the small, everyday moments like grabbing a coffee. I hope management addresses this, as it was a disappointing visit and not what I expect...
