The Ship's Company Pub & Galley — Restaurant in Cavendish

As a connoisseur of burgers from dozens of places across the Atlantic this company burger has got to be one of the best unique burgers with great chuck, bun, pulled pork, and blend of flavours. The local pei fries were also a smash and the meal itself did not leave me hungry. Well priced and will definitely be back. Put this burger on your bucket list.

Wife had SPICY CAJUN SHRIMP LINGUINE and loved it. Yes you do get a really decent feed of medium sized shrimp. Yes it’s a pretty big feed and all of it is divine

Daughter had her nuggets and enjoyed them but mentioned it would have been great to have a few more fries.

I didn’t get to taste it but the Mac and cheese was a huge heap of lobster and food in general. Our friends had it and seemed to love it.

Overall atmosphere is great. Very tastefully designed restaurant and it’s accessible. Price point to meal ratio on point. You certainly didn’t walk away hungry.

Servers would do well to tend better to their customers instead of dropping plates and not showing back up until it’s cleanup. It was dead quiet at the time so there wasn’t really an excuse when we had a table of seven that would have asked them for simple things or how anything tasted.

We recently were exploring in PEI and needed a place that was dog friendly (patio only) to stop for lunch. We're so glad we stopped here! Multiple employees came over to say hi to our pup, and brought him a bowl of water and a couple of treats. The outdoor patio was spacious and very clean. Service was fast and everyone was friendly. Our server was was Maggie and she was excellent and very friendly.

For food we ordered the Deck Hand Fish Tacos with a side of fries and the PEI Mussels. The mussels were perfectly steamed in a delicious and light broth. The bread on the side was delicious as well. The fish tacos were good, but not the best we've had. The fish itself was fried perfectly, and very flaky, while the toppings on the taco's themselves were a little lackluster. The fries were also perfectly fried and came out pipping hot! We ordered Buoys for dessert and they were the perfect finish to our meal.

Disappointing on a couple levels. When I arrived, I headed to the bathroom and there was no toilet paper. I went to the other bathroom and the sink didn't work properly. It was an automatic one, and would shut off as soon as you let go of the push-down button, making it very hard to wash your hands.

Food-wise, I felt like the restaurant pulled a bait-and-switch on me. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu, which was a pasta dish featuring "sea scallops", shrimp and mussels for $24. I splurged so I could dig into to some great seafood, but when my meal arrived the "sea scallops" were the size of dimes. Where I'm from, those are called bay scallops, and you call them that on the menu, not "sea scallops". I was expecting the dish to contain $3-5 worth of big scallops and instead it contained about $1 worth of tiny bay scallops.
