Generally, the food quality to price ratio is fairly good, but I recently went in on a busier day and it was probably the most chaotic experience of my life.
I'm not sure if the restaurant was just understaffed that day, but the service was just all over the place.
The waitress tried to set our expectations by letting us know that it was a busier day, and I appreciate that, but she was a bit stern, and not exactly the friendliest. After this, it felt like our table was neglected for some time.
It took a pretty long amount of time before we were able to place our order, and one of our orders came almost immediately, which was great... But the remaining orders probably took close to an hour... So one member of our party awkwardly waited before starting, and eventually we just encouraged her to eat ahead of us. She finished her meal and we still had to continue waiting about 40 minutes to an hour before we received the rest of our food. Even then, it was just the soup without any noodles, and then we waited another 10-20 minutes for our noodles to arrive. 10 minutes for mine, and 20 minutes for the remaining set.
To try to avoid having to wait another hour, we placed another order in advance. During this time, plates were dropped multiple times around the restaurant, and the servers all seemed very flustered and even blaming the customers in some instances. We also had a few order mistakenly brought to our table, and I wasn't sure what was part of our order and what wasn't.
Additionally, we received an extra set of noodles and I tried to let our server know it was extra so it could go to another table if necessary, and the server wouldn't believe me and tried to compare it to my initial order... I don't know what I gain from lying about having extra noodles, and overall I was just trying to help them. It made the whole experience a bit more uncomfortable for me.
I think normally the restaurant might be a 3.5/5 and delivers fairly decent value for the price. It's a reasonable amount of food, and it's usually under $20 (depending on what you order). But they don't seem to be equipped to manage the restaurant when it's at or close to...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I were on our way to get boba but we stopped on the way there and ran into Dagu Rice Noodle. We saw their boba pictures on the windows so we went inside. Surprisingly this place didn't pop up for nearest boba options, maybe because of the restaurant name? Anyways we ordered our drinks and we loved them. I got the Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and I really enjoyed the flavors and boba chewiness. Boba consistency was just how I liked it. We loved our drinks so much that we came back another time. We got our drinks pretty fast as well. The inside was very spacious.
The next time we came back, we had dinner and boba here. I got the Teriyaki Fried Rice with beef. It was delicious and the portion size was huge for me. And I think we got the beef and fishball skewers. I like spicy, but the spicy sauce on the fishballs was just alright for me. Maybe I would've liked it in a separate cup on the side rather than on the skewer itself so I could control how much sauce was on it.
Lastly, I got the Mango Panna Cotta with boba and my boyfriend got the Avocado Smoothie with boba. I really liked the mango chunks on top of my drink and the granola on top of my boyfriend's drink. They were really cute touches. And these last two drinks we ordered were my favorites by far. The Mango Panna Cotta was just amazing. Sweetness level was great, the drink consistency was blended and smooth, the mango was amazing. And it was the same with the Avocado Smoothie, it was at the perfect level of sweetness, I loved the added granola which gave the drink more texture.
We loved these last two drinks so much we came back again another day lol. Whenever I'm in the area I always plan on stopping here for the drinks. 5/5...
Read moreJust wanted to start off by saying the people working here are nice. That's the only good thing I can say about the restaurant. I have never been so disappointed at an all you and eat. I hope this review deters people from wasting their time. If you want all you can eat just go for hot pot Edmonton has a lot of great options.
They were extremely slow and missed most of our order. The restaurant was not busy at all and somehow they were not able to give 5 people the correct orders. We waited an hour for a bowl of noodles that were missing a bunch of our add ons. They then took another 45 minutes to bring our second round and decided to bring everything all in the last 15 minutes. They also have a 2 hour time limit. I am not sure why it took so long to bring our bland boiled meat and vegetables. None of the broths were very flavourful and the meat was overcooked.
The food was not good, especially for the price. Dry chicken, overly salty sides. They also did not clear our table throughout. Again if it was busy I would understand but it was quite tonight.
Bathrooms were dirty and were not maintained. Paper not filled and taps did not work well either.
Overall the worst all you can eat experience I've had and that opinion was shared with our table of 5. Slow service is one thing but when it's not busy and we have to wait an hour for a few bowls of noodles and topping that ridiculous. We finished our food but they started bringing multiple bowls of things we didn't order at the end. Regardless we finished the food and just wanted to leave.
I highly do not recommend this place and hope no one has the same...
