Hello||The front desk, maintenance and housekeeping staff were very nice and tried to be as helpful as they could. ||Unfortunately, our stay was more frustrating than relaxing. When we arrived in our room, it was quite warm. We immediately put the ancient a/c unit on but it barely worked. We left it on the coldest temp, fan on high and went to grab a bite to eat at Cora's (the attached, way overpriced restaurant). We were there for about 30 to 45 mins. When we back to our room it was still hot but we had tickets to a show so we left for another 2 hours. Upon returning, our room was now 85 degrees. We called front desk and after waiting 10 to 15 mins on hold someone answered and said they would call housekeeping. 20 mins later and nothing. I was starting to feel faint so I called front desk again, this time on hold for another 15 or so mins. I finally gave up and went down to the front desk (where there was no line up or any other clients, so why the wait). I had also bumped into the maintenance worker in the elevator who was talking to someone about the a/c. I told him it was our room and he said he was heading up there in a few minutes. Apparently, he offered my son a fan because the a/c wasn't working. In the meantime, I had asked for a new room. I was given a key to check out the room next door, it was a bit cooler, but not by much and the a/c was on high. We moved rooms, taking the mini fridge with us as you have to ask for a fridge or microwave and the other room had neither. It took about 3 hours for the room to cool down enough but it was by no means 'cold'. By morning the room still wasn't what we would call 'air conditioned'. ||(We were not offered any compensation for all of this inconvenience).||||Other annoyances:||The shower was slippery, the showerhead was more aimed at the wall and there was no way to adjust it. ||||The tv's were small, like a computer monitor. ||The hallways were musty.||Our first room had several carpet stains as you walk in making it seem dirty.||Parking was sketchy with an additional cost.||Several unhoused people and addicts in the area (one unhoused person was sitting in the lobby going through his bags.) The front desk person hadn't noticed until I looked over and then she politely asked him to leave. ||Only 1 tiny elevator. ||Our view was of the garage wall, the hotel was not busy so why put people in a room with the view of a garage wall, twice(3rd floor).||Building is very old and the picture provided on Expedia site was not even close to what the building looked like. I would not have chosen to stay there had I seen an actual picture!||While I was filling in the form to check in, a gentleman asked where he could safely park his truck. The lady said she could not guarantee safety (obviously) but did say that someone had their truck broken into recently and had complained to the hotel. ||Days Inn are usually decent places to stay but not this time. We will not go back and we will be looking for alternative hotel chains from now on because of this extremely poor experience. I have also shared this with Expedia and will be posting to...
Read moreAfter traveling five hours to the hotel for a medical appointment for my son the next morning, we ended up getting there around 10pm. We got into our room and the smell was unbearable (causing symptoms, sore itchy throat, hard to breathe, headaches to us and my my son who was already coming for medical attention) when we went to the front desk they apologized and offered us another room,
the other room was almost as bad and my son was complaining that he didn't want to be there, it was also his birthday and he was extremely disapointed. I went down to the desk for the 3rd time and explained the situation and the inconvenience it is causing us, the front desk manager then gave me a third key for a third room to try (almost 11pm now) just to find out that one of the beds was broken, which we can not sleep on with our disabilities. I explained that to the manager and asked if she could refund us or at the very least give us a discount for the inconvenience as I did not expect to pay for a place so unclean and smelly. (They state they only do house keeping every 3 days and I don't believe it's done well enough not only due to the smells but how gross the beds felt (gritty). She was very offended by my request.
The manager said I can either stay or cancel my room but she refused to refund me. I expressed my concerns again to another lady when checking out and she wasn't friendly at all with the situation and the customer service was unprofessional.
I can confidently say that I will not be staying at this location again and I would not suggest it to anyone else so they don't end up dealing with the same customer service, filth and potential of...
Read moreOur stay here was a real mixed bag, hence the 3-star rating. There are some genuinely good things about this hotel, but also some significant service issues that travelers should be aware of.||||The Good:||Let's start with the positives. The price was reasonable, and the room itself was excellent for the price point. The beds were very comfortable, the linens felt like high quality, and we were pleased with how quiet the room was, which made for a great night's sleep. The front desk staff also deserve credit for a quick and friendly check-in and check-out process.||||The Not-So-Good:||However, there are two major areas where the hotel falls short. First, there is absolutely no housekeeping service. For our entire two-night stay, the room was never cleaned or tidied, not even dry clean towels were offered. The hotel presents this as an 'eco-friendly' policy, but it feels more like a cost-cutting measure. Second, the hotel doesn't offer breakfast. There's a complimentary coffee maker in the room, but the restaurant downstairs is a separate, expensive business, not a hotel amenity.||||Summary:||It's a trade-off. If you can get a good price and your priority is a quiet, comfortable bed for a short stay, this place could be a decent choice. But if you expect standard hotel services like daily room cleaning, you will likely be...
