First time, last time: I am hoping that my girlfriend's and I experience is a one off judging by the great reviews but we decided to try it out since changing from the Roxy Diner July 16th, 2017 at 10:30am. Start to finish was about one hour wait time with coffee only, we did not get our meal. Our waitress had disappeared for 20 minutes and after 10 minutes more we asked another waitress as to how long it might be and she responded "Our computers are having problems and I have no idea"...we expressed our frustration with our expressions and the waitress then said "roll your eyes all you want, I'm hot and it's busy" and then turned around an walked away....We were floored by the lack of courtesy and the non-existent customer service. My girlfriend and I are in our late 20's so we are not a crotchety old couple but we have both worked in customer service and waiting jobs and would have been written up in a heartbeat for saying something like that. Even with the long wait, servers should always keep their tables in the loop and if there is a delay or problem...tell them...don't disappear until the issue is fixed. There have several good establishments in this building which I have always supported, this one...

They have high chairs for the littles, but booths contrain them as well. I'd say it's not overly kid friendly for really little kids like ours, but they do their best to accommodate, and it makes a world of a difference.
Parking can be an issue if you go late bc there is street parking down the side road, and it fills up. But it's never stopped us from going or finding a spot. I just wish they opened earlier than 10!
On special wkends and generally in the warmer weather, you'll want to show up for/before open as there's always a small line outside waiting. Worth it! Then go for a walk down the boardwalk, get ice cream nearby, or take the train tour at the station. Now...
Read moreHad lunch here, wasn't busy. Waitress was ok but food took forever coming out. Had the chicken wrap and fries. There was so much sauce on it that the bread was soggy in 5 min and the chicken mushy and dripped everywhere. Fries were 95% broken pieces that looked like they were bottom of the tray old ones. Iced tea was warm and I was brought gravy though when asked I said no to. As we were getting ready to leave we neatly piled the plates, asked for them to be removed. The waitress muttered sure no problem and seemed a bit ticked we asked. She strutted off losing the napkins on the ground and left them there. Believe her name was Abby. Never tried the breakfast. Doubt we...
