During my recent visit to this charming restaurant, I had the pleasure of trying both the Lamb Burger and the Slaw Burger. While both dishes were prepared with care, it was the Lamb Burger that truly captured my attention. The patty was perfectly cooked, bursting with juices, and the addition of chipotle sauce elevated the flavors to a delightful crescendo. The Slaw Burger, though delicious in its own right, simply couldn’t compete with the sheer indulgence of the lamb. My focus remained on savoring every bite of that incredible burger. The ambience of the place further enhanced the dining experience. We were fortunate enough to be seated on the patio overlooking the serene Elora River, which provided a picturesque backdrop. The interior also deserves a mention, with its tasteful decor that exuded a timeless, classic charm. However, despite these positives, I had to deduct a star from my overall rating. The washrooms were in dire need of attention; their condition was disappointing and detracted from the otherwise high standards of the establishment. Addressing this issue would certainly elevate the overall experience, bringing it closer to perfection.

If you are looking for a vintage style pub, this would be it. Hostest great to seat and server were friendly and excellent. Server's mix drinks were superb 👌 The server was great with the kids. Meals were perfect portions for adults and kids. Did not leave hungry or feeling bloated. The pub was clean, music was enough to hear it, and the place was not overloaded with tv's that the kids did not get distracted by and interactive in dinner conversation. I had the beef and Guinness stew plate. Pea cooked perfect, the meat was nice and tender, and the yorkshire pudding with the stew was excellent. The hubby had the slaw burger. He said it was good. What I saw was a man who did not talk during his meal and was too focused on eating. That means it was excellent, haha. Photo's provided. There are plenty of bathrooms that were clean and stocked. Highly recommend, and will return the next time we are in Elora.

Great place located near the water (however not that interesting to see) with the bar located right in the middle and a great dining area at the back, with big windows overlooking the water: - great staff, smiling and friendly - good food arriving in good time, as per my pictures - typical N American clientele (tshirts and shorts) not loud though - they seem to be having lots of small events here, so perhaps is a great attraction for the locals in the evening - location is at the intersection of 2 streets and cannot park your car there but in the car park located up the road, several minutes walk and/or perhaps further away - the beautiful waterfall, can be seen properly from the courtyard of a hotel located down the road in what seems to be the historic part of Elora, reason why we came here after being featured in Race across Canada

I recently visited Shepherds Pub and was thoroughly impressed with the authenticity of both the food and the beer. The ambiance was inviting, creating a genuine pub experience. The menu boasted a variety of delicious options, and I particularly enjoyed the flavorful dishes that truly captured the essence of traditional pub fare. The beer selection complemented the meal perfectly, offering a diverse range that satisfied my taste buds. The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. If you're looking for an authentic pub experience with great food and beer, Shepherds Pub is a must-visit!

This is a cute place to grab a bite to eat. I got the Schmiegi’s Oktoberfest Dinner and it was pretty good. The sausages were amazing and paired well with sauerkraut although I wish they put more sauerkraut. The watermelon dragonfruit margarita was also really delicious and had a nice subtle fruit flavour to it. The other meals such as the Taco Burger and Beef Stew (for example) were also really good but were loaded with sides such as salad, peas, etc. The wait time was really long for the food and the service was okay, they wouldn’t let one of my family members pack something.
