Frites2 — Restaurant in Châteauguay

Fries were good, fish was not seasoned even with salt before frying, which made it bland, and the dough was not fully cooked. The inside was pasty in some parts. The coleslaw was amazing. The staff is pleasant however too loud, a bit of discretion would go a long way in creating a nicer atmosphere. My last comment is regarding placing plates filled with your partial order on the counter while waiting for the cook to complete it with the order. Basically everyone who stands at the counter waiting for their order is breathing in your dish! My comments are only meant to help.

First times going here and I loved the menu, and friendly owner. She makes things from scratch. Excellent fries and good hotdogs. Excellent value. I found my new spot! Its closed Sundays and Mondays but Thursdays and Fridays you can get homemade fish and chips I have yet to try. I recommend not wearing your best clothes or jackets you cannot wash easily, as the oil, food smell does seep into clothes and hair right away. Stopped in while driving through Châteauguay on Anjou Blvd because we didn’t feel like a typical Mc D’s, Subway or Tim Horton’s and wow what a pleasant surprise; Five Guys quality at Dollar Store prices. They should rename this place Five Girls and franchise it. Best fresh beef burgers since Spruce Beer and best hot dogs since Decarie Hot Dog. Don’t even get me started on the poutine; forget Banquise and Monique; at 10$+ a plate, this 5$- poutine takes them to town; or in this case outta town! And oh ya; the Fish ‘n Chips is also...
