Reply to latest customer review (Wacef Chowdhury): As the waitress serving the customers, I would like to respectfully clarify what happened. When taking the customers order, they asked me if I could suggest something to eat that was good. I suggested a few items and one of them being a grilled cheese. I had suggested the portobello mushroom grilled cheese but as they looked on the menu, they decided that they wanted the scrambled egg grilled cheese instead which indeed included bacon inside. I told them that it was a good choice and i placed the order. Unfortunately, at no point was there any mention of any dietary restrictions. When the grilled cheese arrived, they saw the bacon and advised they could not eat it. As we always do if something like this happens, we kindly asked the customer if it is OK if we take the bacon out as to not waste any food because it happens that some of our customers just dont like the taste but in this case, they mentioned it was for religious purposes and that it could not be the same sandwich and asked for a new one to be made. We always try to accommodate our customers the best we could and we always assume our mistakes. That being said, as it was the mistake of the customer, my manager did ask them to pay half the price of the sandwich and absorbed some of the loss himself. I think its important for me to clarify that my boss never asked me to pay for the food. I took it upon myself because as the customer mentioned to me, we are all human and make mistakes. This is very true and i agreed with that and the customers were very nice to me. But at the end of the day somebody has to pay for the mistakes and it is not fair for the restaurant to always absorb the costs of customer mistakes. Read moreFOOD - Great / SERVICE - Terrible First let me say that Allo mon coco is my favorite breakfast place. Before Covid, we used to go every Sunday or every other Sunday!! Love love the food and the employees and it has never disappointed me. I went last Sunday, at the Chateauguay location, with a friend and even though the food was excellent the service was not 🤦♀️ Our waitress name was Ashley and frankly she should not be serving at any restaurant as customer service is not in her adn. The only thing she did was take our order. She did not pour our coffee, we had no sugar or cream and had to ask another server. We had been waiting for 45 minutes for our plates with no more coffee and we had to call her, she could have told us its coming soon or asked us if we needed something while waiting but never came to us. Once we got our plate brought by another server, we had to ask her for syrup for our pancakes then had to ask for more coffee then jam & peanut butter. We had to ask for water to another server because she was never in our section to someone else. She never came once to see us. Then at the end she just brought us the bills without asking if we needed something more. We were paying by credit card and my friend wanted to leave her tip in cash, she actually stayed there and waited for the tip, my friend felt so uncomfortable so she gave her some. I personally did not leave her a dime as this is not the service i am looking for when i go to A restaurant. I called and they said they'd give a credit but I'm not from here, I want a refund, the manager was awful was talking over me. Apparently the owner said to bring back the food for a whole refund. Manager Would not let me speak. Told her she was terrible. I then demanded a refund for the extras I never got and paid for.. asked the owner to call.. nothing.. worse business EVER.. the restaurant screws up and apparently I'm at fault lol and I have to go out of my way to go back??? While the other food gets cold?? Wow...lost my business and ppl that I know.
I wasn't rude , the manager didn't allow me to speak, she was talking over me, I didn't want a full refund had you called me like a professional person, you would have heard my side. But I see you don't care for your patrons. What I was asking for, as you belittle the order that I merely was missing items, (my mom was missing half her items from the meal, I paid 5.95$ for extra toast and that's what I wanted refunded but she wasn't listening to me, she was combative from the beginning. I told her she was a terrible manager cause she doesn't listen. But you can keep my money.
