Restaurant Canada Drive-In — Restaurant in Châteauguay

Not sure what happened to Canada Drive-In? It was a staple go to in Châteauguay for take-out. The food quality has really declined over the last few years. Ordered a smoked meat sub. And small fry. The smoked meat was tasteless and sliced way too thick. They added pickle slices to the sub making it taste like a pickle sub. The sub sauce was homemade but tasteless and oily. The assembly was sloppy and although the fries were fresh cut somehow they were extremely dry making them hard to swallow. All of this made lunch inedible and more than 2/3 of it ended up in the trash. The general cleanliness in the restaurant section and the kitchen has also declined. Pricing has become an issue, charging way too much for sub-standard take-out. It cost $26 for a 10 “ inch sub with a small fry. So very unfortunate that this well known Châteauguay icon has become a shell of itself. Take out restaurants have to step up their game with quality food ingredients if they want to survive. Over 30 years of patronage has come to an end for me. Goodbye...

Am in restaurant right now. We had to wait in line for about 10 minutes to get in. When we finally got seated we had to ask for coffee and menus. There was only one waitress for around 50 people, and a guy named Serge who seemed to be a food runner. The waitress mentioned they were very busy and didn't have anyone to wash the dishes. It took 45 minutes to get served. We signalled to the guy Serge, we were ready to order and he rudely replied, that they weren't ready to take our orders. The waitress came by and we ordered, I asked for brown bread, to which she replied there was none. When our meals came, there were supposed to be beans there was none, apparently they had run out. Our toast never came, we had to remind her. I'd asked for mayo and ketchup that too never came. Coffee was lukewarm at best, even refill. Had asked for refill, it ever came. Left restaurant disappointed. Will not return,...

Today is March 1st 2021, today was absolutely horrible. I had my order delivered, a pepperoni pizza, club sandwich, and a Cesar salad. The pizza and fries from the club were cold. Pizza tasted dry from lack of sauce. There was barely any bacon on the club, and my Cesar salad was completely drenched and soggy from the dressing, the dressing was the worst part. It tasted like pure mayonnaise, my husband and I got a very upset stomach from eating it.
