We had a reso for 8:30 and we were nearby so we decided to test our luck and head in 15 mins early and they were all ready for us! As we were seated we noticed this is one of the nicest dining rooms in town I've been to! Our server Morgan was very professional and had the perfect amount of friendly banter and helped my vegetarian partner chose a good veggie option (gnocchi) and I had the carbonara. She even accomodated my neurodivergent partner by bringing out a selection of different sized spoons because the fork was too large. My guanchale was cooked to perfection and the sauce was perfect! We started with the capresse salad but were a lil surprised it came without bread, it would amp up the dish just slightly!!! Cocktails were tasty and they have a huge beer and wine selection. We found the music a little loud once the dining room died down but other than that we have absolutely no complaints.we will definitely return to try the pizza next time, we found the music a little loud once the dining room died down but other than that we have absolutely no complaints! Congrats on the beautiful new place guys.

⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Vincinato’s is one of those places where you walk in thinking, “This could be life-changing pizza” and walk out thinking, “Well… it changed my afternoon, I guess.” The highlight of the night? The complimentary bread at the start — which is both impressive and kind of insulting, because it peaked before we even got to the main event. The beer was ice cold (as beer should be, unless you’re some kind of medieval knight), the service was perfectly fine — not rude, not overly friendly, just solidly… there. Starters were good. Not life changing but in the upper Italian restaurants in the Maritimes. The pizza itself? Toppings and flavor, good. Crust? Amazing. But the undercarriage? Let’s just say if you picked up a slice too fast, you might need a mop. I like my pizza to bend slightly, not file for worker’s comp. All in all, it’s a “would go back” kind of place — but mostly for the bread starter and a cold pint. If they could just get the bottom of the pizza as crisp as their beer glasses, they’d be flirting with a 5-star review.

I enjoyed a really elegant dinner service at Vicinato Ristorante. The menu is quite impressive, and I love how dishes are listed in Italian. The quality of the food is equally phenomenal. I enjoyed 3 courses and a dessert. Their foccacia bread is delightful with a great balance of flavours in their house butter. To start the courses, I enjoyed Tonno crudo (Tuna tartar) & Polpette (Meatballs). Both dishes were presented elegantly, and the portions were satisfying. Then I had Casarecce funghi (Mushroom cream pasta) & Pesce spada (Grilled swordfish) which were both cooked to perfection. The pasta noodles were al dente & the fish had nice grill marks. The server was knowledgeable, recommending a wine well paired to the dishes, and I ended it off with a slice of tiramisu for dessert. This is definitely a classy spot for a nice date or special occaision, as the restaurant is situated on the famous Victoria Row area of downtown too. The staff & management definitely care about their product & brand. I look forward to my next visit!

My family and I had a late lunch there. Most of the tables did not have umbrellas and it was extremely hot sun. Our waitress was very kind and attended to us regularly; however, our meal took a very long time to get to our table... We waited nearly 1 hour for our five meals to come out when it was not very busy at all. Unfortunately, the meal was not worth the wait. My wife and father-in-law both ordered the same menu item: spaghetti vongole. The pasta was dry and extremely salty along with the terribly salty clams. My mother-in-law ordered the tagliatelle all’astice. Much like the other meals, this was a disappointment. The noodles were all stuck together and there was very little sauce. Neither my mother-in-law, my wife or my father-in-law were able to finish their meals. My son ordered from the kids menu: a pepperoni pizza. The pizza came back uncooked. The dough was extremely mushy. He could not eat it either after trying to finish one of the four pieces. The only meal of some substance was my own, which was the shrimp linguine. Needless to say, I felt it necessary to make mention to the waitress our disappointment with both the pizza and the pastas. My largest concern was that my son barely ate. Because the meal took so long to get to us, I asked that they do not make another pizza. The waitress took our plates away and said she would speak to the chefs and her manager. When she returned she explained that the chef 's rationale for the undercooked pizza was that the cheese used on the pizza was a water absorbing mozzarella which results in the crust being or seeming to be undercooked/soggy. I'm Italian, and I have no idea what they're talking about. They failed to take accountability for the undercooked pizza. While I had expected that they would take the pizza off the bill, they did not. They did, however, take one clam spaghetti off the bill. It was a very expensive meal, over $200, with no one walking away, feeling as though they had eaten a satisfying meal. I would not recommend this restaurant, and it gave our family a very dissatisfied view of our first Charlottetown experience. Again, I cannot stress enough that our waitress was extremely kind and apologetic. We assured her that we were not angry with her directly, or angry at all for that matter. But, we did make it clear that we were disappointed with our meal. This restaurant had very little Italian ambience and for Italian food, it took far too long for what we received (not to mention the high price for pasta and pizza). I feel that you are paying mostly for the experience of eating on...

My wife, myself and another couple were looking forward to spending a great Friday evening. This restaurant is located on Victoria row which is centrally located in Charlottetown. This restaurant is part of a large group of restaurants in town. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in, the place looks great and was very inviting. The menu is quite fancy using Italian terms that makes you guess what you may be ordering however it was well explained by the server. The place was busy, as expected as it was a Friday night.

The server was quick to give us the menu however we waited quite a while before she came back for drinks. Our order was quite easy, one entree and main meals, and somehow it took 2 hours get one entree of meatballs to us. I actually had to prompt the server as to what was going on regarding that one entree as we were long done with our drinks and complimentary bread. We noticed a table of six that was sat after us getting their meals before ours. We were advised the place was quite busy and experiencing delays in the kitchen. Our order likely got dropped or forgotten. Granted, the Chef and manager came in to apologize without offering much in return, i.e. bread at the very least. I ordered one beer and was given a beer to drink from the bottle. Not very fancy for a supposedly fancy restaurant.

Overall my shrimp linguini was excellent, but the pizzas we ordered were not to our expectations for the names they had. The server graciously did not charge us for the meatballs on my bill, but they didn’t have any consideration for the other couple at our table who waited with us.

The atmosphere was nice but we would not return, the service was disorganized, meals were not up to par the image they are trying to give, and although they apologized for the wait, they didn’t do much else to rectify the situation. Was an amateur night that is common for this group of restaurant. I don’t blame the server, their excuses were just...

Very nice decor in a nice location (Victoria Row near the theatre ). We tried for a couples lunch. We had a reservation for 1 trying to miss the lunch rush. Despite a half full restaurant we were seated at a small table for 2 with another couple immediately beside us. The menu is intriguing as is the wine and cocktail list. Our waitress was very friendly but needs training. We asked about certain dishes and she had to ask the kitchen each time. She forgot our wine. She forgot our cappuccinos. We could go on but you get the idea. The service was what I would expect at a Boston Pizza or East Side Mario’s, certainly not up to standards for fine dining if that is what the objective is (as the prices would suggest). My wife had the limoncello spritz which was very nice. The food was ok, but underwhelming. We started with the ricotta montata which was excellent. We also had warm olives, which were good but not warm. My wife had a the zuppa di pesce dish with salt cod and the salt dominated the dish (likely not soaked). Served with no spoon and no bread. Nothing extra offered such as fresh ground pepper or grated Parmaigiano. We did not like the tiramisu (some sort of citrus flavour dominated). Surprised that it arrived without any garnish or decoration on the plate; just a slice of cake on a plain white plate. How about some presentation to make it more attractive for $15? Not a terrible experience but left feeling underwhelmed and overcharged; I think it was $225 for lunch which is fine if there was a bit of wow factor. We accept that it is newly open but we do hope that there is an effort under way to make improvements as the current offering is not up to the standard it needs to be. We will give it...
