Came to this McDonald's location after a visit to chilliwack. The location is located within a shopping area and there are many other restaurants and big box stores around it. The location itself is very clean and spacious. There is ample parking as well as a drive-through. The menu is standard and the service was as well. Unfortunately, this time when we went inside to order and received our meal after a few bites I noticed a hard metal peace within the box the sandwich. On further inspection it looked like the back screw nubs of someones earring. Rather disgusted, I brought this back in and raised it to the attention of the manager. All he did at that point was to acknowledge the presence of the thing and tell the cashier to ring me up another one. When I continue to stand there looking at the cashier, the manager circled back around and reached into the sandwich box to grab the offending metal fragment and leave without saying another word. No apologies no reparations nothing. After I got the replacement sandwich, I checked it for metal pieces for which there were none. Back outside, where we were eating, the kids we're pulling out other assorted accoutrements from their meals including hair. The drive through was obviously very busy although the in person dining was not. There was a lot of activity in a lot of workers in the back that we could see. Regardless of being a busy location, with lots of workers, I do think it is incumbent on providing a level of quality standards especially for food preparation. I wasn't looking for any freebies however an apology would have been nice from the manager himself. Not coming back to...
Read moreI wonder what the suit meeting was gathered at McDs today? Was it to address the lack of doors to the bathrooms? Yeah, really, no doors. How gross is it to have to sit here and listen to people use the bathroom. At least you don't have to wonder if they washed their hands, you can literally see them! Ok, there is one room with a door. How weird.
Well, speaking of NOT being in to things, apparently McDonalds is attempting to Not have customer service. I mean, they have always had their challenges, so its about time McDonalds got on board with they "lets just take it away" boat other business do when employee lack. And by all of this I mean, if you don't use the kiosk to place your order, be prepared for nobody to help. I waited 10 minutes for nobody to show, the brave lady behind me waited 15 or 20. This will be the last time I do this.
However, apparently the newer motif of McDonalds is to make the insides with as little comfort possible. Maybe to discourage people from coming inside at all? From the lack of outlets for laptop workers to the uncomfortable, hard "modern" chairs, paired with the lack of workers interaction and welcome to the future of McDonalds. This is cheap food at a cheap place, now equipped with cheap attire. Well, the food is suppose to be cheap, hello inflation/natural rise in prices. As we adjust to the swell of costs, I will most likely find myself at home, enjoying a healthier home cooked version with larger portions, comfortable furnishings, and good people to speak to. Who wants to come over for dinner?...

Open for an hour more ... but reset the system. Why? Why would you do that with an hour left on the clock? Couldn't order. Was a half hour before we could, and 20 minutes to get the food. While you expect a wait with a big group, this was not the timeline you come to expect from a Micky D's. 50 minutes! We had to stay because people were arriving in multiple vehicles at staggered times. That said, the staff, while uncertain when we arrived, seemed to, eventually, step up. I do get a sudden surge of people can be overwhelming (especially when your computer has been reset!). The food tasted like it does from any other McDonald's (you gotta judge it on that scale). And the kiosk you can order from is kinda neat! I've not seen that before (to be fair, it might be standard, but I don't eat at McDonald's often enough to know). It's like a self checkout at the grocery. I like those. If you're not a fan of those, I imagine you wouldn't...
