While we officially came to visit district 1881 (little disappointed on that front) we were earlier enough and hungry enough to enjoy some brunch. At initial glance, this restaurant had a beautiful aesthetic both inside and out. It was relatively busy inside with some spare tables and had very beautiful staff working. With that being said, when our waitress came over to serve us, and we had noted that we were ready to order, she hesitated, and said “I can get you started with drinks first, as the kitchen may be busy”. It was just the two of us, and we had some time to spare so we understood, although questioned how busy it truly was as most people had their orders taken, and or had their food. I found the dishes were quite pricey as they included a side salad instead of a traditional potato side or option for one. They do offer sides that you can add on your own. However, I felt at $20 plus it should come with a little something extra than greenery. We had noticed a party had 70% of their food and the other 30% was missed and they ended up waiting to get their food after ours came and it made for a slight awkward interaction. The overall service didn’t really feel too warm and comforting (read: less genuine more transactional?) the croque madame was good and so was the breakfast sandwich so it wasn’t a bad meal per se, it was just our overall experience as a whole and the quantity/cost of it. I’m not sure if they have coat hooks or anything but because of the café style chairs it does make it a little bit difficult to hang your jacket and purse behind you, so that’s just a general comment and a personal preference at best. I can imagine in the summer time when the outdoor seating is available, how busy it will be. There is gorgeous floral decorations and it makes for a beautiful picture. Not sure I will make a specific trip out to this place, there are a few brunch spots within the complex but hopefully you enjoy your meal nevertheless!

This review could have been 5 stars and I wanted to love my experience. Firstly I was super excited to visit this pretty bistro (without child) on a brunch date with hubby! They are owned by Cascade group and I loved their Main Street location. We were seated quickly and the space is gorgeous. Chilliwack needs a spot like this! Server was friendly but seemed on the go go go! We ordered our Americanos first, then reviewed menu and ordered breakfast. No lie our food came out in about 3 minutes - we had not even received our coffees to sip and chillax. Fast food - faster than Dennys lol. That felt odd/rushed, not only that our meals were lukewarm, like it had been sitting out but we just ordered it? The food was nice - other than the cool temp it was tasty. The coffee arrived when we were eating. It’s killer coffee from Smoking Gun - our coffee came in a dainty china tea cup - while pretty - I like that only for tea from a teapot. My coffee was tiny and splashed out on saucer, but again it was friggin amazing I wish I had it to savour and enjoy. As soon as we were finished they cleared plates and offered the bill - they actually cleared my husbands plate while I was still eating. We wanted to stay and have a cocktail but it was so rushed and we felt the vibe they wanted us out. In and out in 30 minutes and left with time to kill on our date - so much for a relaxing brunch. I would love to try again. I am not sure why it was soooooo assembly line rushed…..I took a star off for lukewarm food and a star off for being rushed/experience.

Good location Came here for a bite after checking out Thunderbird Lane. Not familiar with Chilliwack so chose The Offy since it was close by and it looked nice from the outside. Ordered from the brunch menu and got the smoked salmon Benny, the Breaky plate, the Italian Panini and two coffees. The Benny came with a cucumber salad which was tasty on its own but didn’t go with the smoked salmon as the salad was sweet. My Breaky plate came with toast so I asked for jam and got a fruit compote that was barely sweetened. A strange thing - with both dishes that have eggs, you’re not asked how you want your eggs done but rather advised they’re done medium soft or sunny side up (for the Breaky plate). The salad that came with the Benny and Panini was very tasty and well dressed. No complaints on the Panini - my husband enjoyed it. Coffee is served in small tea cups - the kind you’d use for High Tea. Frequent top ups are needed and sometimes the wait staff is busy with other guests so you’ll often end up with an empty cup. There’s no kids menu and looking at their regular menu there’s few options if you want to order a dish under $15 for your child Service is friendly and fast. The interior is relaxing and we enjoyed just sitting down and taking time with our meal. The food is presented nicely which I would expect for the price point.

A Perfect Culinary Delight with Outstanding Hospitality!

The Offy never ceases to amaze me with their exquisite dishes and remarkable service. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in the Bolognese pasta and meatballs, as well as the delectable duck dish. Additionally, Shana, the talented bartender, truly added an extra spark to our evening. Here's why this experience deserves a solid five-star review!

Let's start with the Bolognese pasta and meatballs. As a self-proclaimed pasta lover, I can confidently say that this dish surpassed all expectations. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and complemented flawlessly by the rich, meaty Bolognese sauce. Each meatball was tender and packed with a burst of flavors, making every bite an absolute pleasure. It was a true homage to traditional Italian cuisine, impressing both my taste buds and my heart.

Now, let's talk about the duck dish. The Offy’s culinary team took the art of cooking duck to a whole new level. The meat was expertly seared to achieve a crispy skin while maintaining a succulent and juicy texture. The accompanying sauce harmoniously balanced sweet and savory notes, enhancing the natural flavors of the duck. With its flawless presentation and incredible taste, this dish left me wanting for nothing else.

Shana, the exceptional bartender, truly made our night memorable. Her extensive knowledge of mixology along with her friendly and attentive demeanor was a delightful addition to our dining experience. Shana's ability to create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere made us feel special and her warm and professional service elevated our evening beyond expectations.

The Offy excels not only in their delectable dishes but also in providing a warm and welcoming ambiance. The restaurant's chic and sophisticated decor creates a refined yet cozy atmosphere, ideal for a pleasant evening out. The staff, including the servers and managers, are incredibly hospitable, ensuring a seamless dining experience from start to finish.

To summarize, I cannot recommend The Offy enough. The Bolognese pasta and meatballs, the duck dish, and the exceptional service provided by Shana are unparalleled. The Offy continues to be a premier culinary destination, impressing food enthusiasts with their outstanding cuisine and top-notch customer service. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a splendid dining experience, The Offy should be at the top...

My recent dining experience at The Offy was made truly exceptional by the outstanding service provided by our server, Cormac. From the moment we were seated to the very end of our meal, Cormac went above and beyond to ensure our visit was memorable.

Cormac's attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm for his work were evident throughout our time at the restaurant. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations that perfectly suited our preferences. His warm and friendly demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere, enhancing our overall dining experience.

Not only did Cormac demonstrate exceptional professionalism, but he also showed great patience and attentiveness. He consistently checked on our table, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed. His timing was impeccable, and he managed to strike the perfect balance between being attentive and allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace.

What truly sets Cormac apart is his passion for customer satisfaction. He took the time to engage in genuine conversations, making us feel valued and appreciated as patrons. It's clear that he takes pride in delivering top-notch service, and it did not go unnoticed.

In addition to the delicious food that The Offy is known for, Cormac's exceptional service has left a lasting impression on us. We left the restaurant not just satisfied with the meal but genuinely impressed by the level of service provided by Cormac.

If you're looking for a dining experience that combines delectable cuisine with impeccable service, I highly recommend The Offy, and I especially commend Cormac for his outstanding contribution to our enjoyable evening.

Thank you, Cormac, and the entire The Offy team, for exceeding our expectations. We'll undoubtedly be returning...
