I bring a senior along and we go to the art exhibit. Another time that we went I had a few people coming along. It Was nice because there is almost nothing that happens in the city. It is Disgraceful the way that we were treated this Last time. What happened today is what I will be mentioning to everyone and everyone I meet from now on. Someone who was not truly paying attention had claimed that we had been to the table where there were snacks three times, when we were Not. We were made to feel Very Unwelcomed. Maybe instead of putting small plates out, which we had one small layer of (although I had a couple of other small pieces) they could have put up a sign saying take one or two items because we want to take leftovers home. The way that we were treated with Completely Disgraceful. The old man made it sound like we ate everything there when there was maybe 40 minutes left and there was plenty of food. No time have we been the only ones, eating everything that there was, nothing left for anyone else. I was supposed to call someone there about my photos but too many bad things have been happening to me :( At this point I don't know if there is any point in trying even though he was someone else to do with the center and not with this group that should not have been horrible to us. Sadly I have come across a lot of horrible people in this city :(. I'll include a photo that I have taken. It is disgraceful of Google to take that out where I cannot upload a photo. It used to work before. I have quite a few photos on...
Read moreMy children were in a show at this facility. There really isn't a bad seat in the place. Any seat works for a good view of the stage. I love that! Its so well laid out. The seats also have lots of knee room, and are comfortable. There is seating areas for those in wheel chairs as well. If you're looking at renting it, the stage is enormous, your flies can be something like 30 feet high, and still stay hidden. The sides for sets are also surprisingly large. Dressing rooms, green room, very large. There's a kitchen in the green room as well. The staff is helpful, friendly, which goes a long way. For actors, it's theatre paradise. I like it far more than the Abby Arts Center, or the Clarke Theatre. More room back stage, better layout for seating. Its a great theatre. Their website is quite user friendly too, for when you...
Read moreFirst time to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre, and I was favorably impressed. The building is impressive and the design completely appropriate for an artsy venue. An expansive foyer makes it feel upscale and classy. There was an abundance of helpful and friendly staff around on the evening we attended the PMJ performance. Seating was OK, but a wee bit tight for a big guy like me. Chilliwack residents should be proud to have a venue such as this. I'll happily return for any performance that may come up...
