Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in City of Leduc

I am not sure what happened to my review. It seems like it may have been taken down or something, Overall not impressed by this particular location. It all started when we entered. There is a sign on the front door that says we will honour competitors coupons... how do you compare DQ with McDonald's or Burger King or anyone else?

Well, according to the store manager, if you present him with a two can dine for $14.99 type of coupon for A&W Mama burger combos, that to him is equivalent of simple cheeseburger combos. So then I presented him with a two can dine coupon for A&W teen burger combos, apparently that's still equates to a cheeseburger combo... Dear restaurant, Take that sign down as you have no intention of honoring it.

Here is a pic of my DQ cheese burger vs a mama burger from A&W, I'm not sure how you compare these two to each other but it's clearly not the same.

Overall the service was sub par, cleanliness was slightly above standard. Food was standard grade.

I have stopped at this location one previous trip through. Service and food was so-so at best, This will be my last visit that this particular location. There's nothing here to make me want me...

My partner and I just went to the drive thru. We placed our order and drove up. We forgot we had coupons… at the window, my partner was holding the coupon and asked the lady if it would be alright if we add a an ice cream to the order, too clarify, he did not directly reference the coupon, instead asked if we could an item to the order…. The lady clearly seen the coupon and evidently ignored my partners question. She then stated, in a very rude and bothered tone, that she would need to see the coupon… my partner apologized and handed her the coupon, but accidentally handed her 2… she then very very rudely asked “what kind of burger”…. My partner apologized again and stated “No burger, we were asking for ice cream” so then, even more bothered and even more rudely she handed back the extra coupon, and debit card device to pay for the order… and looked absolutely irate. It was the single most uncomfortable experience we had at a fast food restaurant, We ended up not paying for the order and drove away…. We will likely not return as a chicken wrap is simply not worth...

Dairy Queen used to be about quality which it most definitely isn’t anymore. The prices have drastically increased which I realize that given the economy is to be expected. What isn’t expected is that while raising the prices they have also significantly decreased their portions. My daughter and I went for lunch. We purchased 2 chicken wraps, 2 order of onion rings and 2 slush. It cost me $30. The chicken on the wraps was half the size it needed to be and there was barely anything else on it. The onion rings that used to fill the box now come with exactly 9 rings, most of which are stuck together and total mush. They were inedible. Their “twisted” summer slush….just grape flavour. Thought maybe it was an off day. Went through the drive through tonight with my son. The medium milkshakes that used to be the same size as a medium drink are now more expensive and the size of a small drink. And his chicken fingers and fries….like warm and not fresh at all.
