I recently purchased a Dairy Queen ice cream cake for my students, hoping to surprise them with a message that read, "Have a great summer, room 14!" Unfortunately, I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the message on the cake. Not only was it poorly executed, but the message itself was incorrect. Instead of "room 14," it said "class 14," which doesn't even exist. This is definitely going to be noticeable to my students.
I raised my concerns, and I was offered a $15 discount on my next cake. This was quite unsatisfactory, considering the inconvenience it would have caused me. It was already 8 PM, and I had a tired 2-year-old who needed to be put to bed. Driving back to the store would have taken another 30 minutes of my time.
The person I spoke to at the store mentioned that the writing on the cake is free, while the cake itself costs $44.99, implying that they couldn't do much better. However, I tried to explain that their poor execution of the writing had essentially ruined the cake. It is not only embarrassing to bring this to school tomorrow but also a waste of the money we raised as a class for our end of the year party.
I plan to escalate this matter by speaking to a manager, hoping that they will comprehend the issue once they see the cake. I sincerely hope that they understand the significance of getting the message right and address the situation...
Read moreJust figured I would share with other customers what the franchise partner at this location deems acceptable and what you can expect to receive on your next visit to this location.
Here's what franchisee wrote me after I recieved my quarter filled large fries.
"Good afternoon,
So sorry that you were not satisfied with your order yesterday. We do care about our food & our fans & we take pride working with our staff diligently. Once in awhile we train new staff & maybe something slips through the cracks. I have reviewed the camera footage from your order and fresh fries were made for your order and the fries were weighed to ensure that the standard was being followed. The mobile order wasn't picked up within the 15 minute window that was selected, and therefore was waiting under the warmer for your arrival. We would like to replace the large fry for you on your next in-store visit free of charge.
Thank you, Kira"
I feel like either DQ has terrible standards, or Kira might be telling me a bit of a lie, either way, by her own admission this is the standard she deems acceptable at her store, so I guess I won't be returning and will have to only visit DQs that exceed the standard and fills the fry...
Read moreStrange experience here. Took my granddaughters to have lunch. When ordering our meals, gravy was included with my meal. The girls had chicken, the girl taking our orders asked if we wanted dipping sauce, I said no because they don't like sauces. The girl brought our orders over, no gravy...I asked her about it, she told me I said no dipping sauce. Now any place I've ever been gravy was not classified as sauce, it's a gravy. When the girls finished eating they went up to get their ice cream, one wanted chocolate the other strawberry. They came back and told me they were charged for the sauce on the ice cream. When the girl brought them to our table I asked her why they were charged because sundae were included in their meal. She said they ordered both strawberry and chocolate. She pointed out she put both flavors on both of their sundaes. I told her one was chocolate, one was strawberry not both on both. I really don't think that was to difficult an order. She did return their money. I will not be back to...
