Bathroom. One stall designated accessible to other stalls very cramped. Toilets are too low to accommodate Seniors, or anyone with mobility issues. Soap dispenser place to high anyone under 5 feet, has difficulty reaching the soap same with the paper towel. I had two seniors in there each of the walker, each needing to depend on their walker to help them get up off the toilet, and as their attendant, I had to lift them off the toilet both seniors were very short and could not reach the soap, nor could they reach the paper towel now for the menu. Food was well put together and tasty no accommodations whatsoever for a smaller appetite, the waitress argued that there’s only certain items that they will make in a smaller portion, which is not right , there should at least be an option for half portions to reduce if I were to food waste I had the two seniors asked them for the kids menu and they would not allow them even to order off the kids menu accommodations need to be made for such things because seniors overall have less appetite then someone in their 30s he tossed salad was ordered and instead of giving us the option of ordering our own favourite dressing it was brought to us with 11 he tight vinaigrette, which was way too much and the salad was returned but we were still charged for it. The waitress argued that that’s just the way it comes And I came back at her with. We should be allowed to order the food that we are paying for the way we want it so I don’t recommend the Spruce Grove location of Smitty’s for these reasons. I hope this helps other consumers to...
Read moreFourth and definitely last visit (decided to give it one more shot as Smittys has always been good across the country) Not This one! Monday's adventure. Confused hostess Lovely waitress (I truly felt for her) Food: Wife had the breakfast. When it arrived the side of hollandaise was forgotten. No big deal. When reminded the second time, it was brought to the table ice cold, not room temp even. It was taken straight from a fridge. Not to mention everything else on the plate got cold waiting for the sauce to be reheated. The eggs (sunnyside) were covered in the "snotty" whites, and the bacon was uncooked. The butter could not melt on the warmed bread, apparently toast is difficult as well. I ordered the Club sandwich. Sandwich was thrown together and falling apart no toothpicks and it was cut once on the bias. I understood why when I looked inside. Uncooked bacon, and a small (I mean the size of two toonies) clump of turkey piled in the middle, ( no, the meat nowhere near covered the sandwich) We addressed each issue with our lovely server Barb, who went to try to fix things. At the end of it all, my pop ( the only thing not totally screwed up, I guess the "cook" can at least pour pop) was comped. Poor Barb seemed embarrassed by her "boss's generosity". Don't know who runs this franchise but Smittys corporate should review putting their name and reputation to this disaster of an...
Read moreThe worst experience, would not recommend to a friend.
We had a group of 13. We were sat within the first 15 mins, which was nice. The part that wasn't nice, was the hour we waited for our food. We watched people who were sat after us, order, eat and pay before we even got our food. Out of our group of 13, 3 people didn't order due to dietary restrictions, so really only 10 people ordered food, 3 being children.
When the children's food finally arrive, we were not given utensils, or condiments. After the children were done eating, we were now at 1 hr 15 mins of waiting and the adult food finally started trickling out, cold, over cooked and disgusting. By that point, I asked for mine not to eve be brought out, and to pack it up. My 2 yr old had been in the restaurant now for 2 hrs.
When I expressed my displeasure to the manager on duty, I was only met with a " oh sorry about that" Seriously, sorry about the fact that I am now paying a bill, and I didn't even get to eat my food in said restaurant, didn't get 1 pop refill and had to ask 2 different waitresses for utensils before we got 1 set for the table of 10 paying customers. Not to mention, I had to track down an employee to PAY, no one even seemed to care that our group was unhappy. I wish I would of just left, and not paid, because no one seemed to care at all about the bill, or the fact that the customer was extremely...
